So the more that I cook, the more I've realized how shitty the microwave is at reheating your food. Most foods are just much better if you reheat them on the stove or in the oven.
However some foods aren't really affected so you get the speed without a compromise on taste.
>Most luke warm food cooked that day
>Nearly all soups
>Melting butter
>Plain pasta and rice are acceptable quality
Any other foods that aren't made shitty by heating in the microwave?

My wife's son prefers his pizza rolls cooked in the microwave

Its good for parcooking root vegetables much faster then getting a pot of water boiling and parboiling them.

Speaking of veggies, frozen corn heated up in the microwave taste the same as when its prepared any other way.
Generally things in their own sauce that aren't going to dry out like curry, soup, chilli etc but I still think leaving it in the pot and heating it on the stove is better and more convenient

How about roasted? fuckin faggot.

I don't know about making food shitty, but I've never found a microwave useful enough to justify being big and ugly on my counter. Twice I've been given microwaves (when someone who couldn't live without theirs found out I didn't have one), and I passed both along in short order.

You roast your frozen corn? Think before you reply

I pretty much use mine to reheat soups and stews. It's pretty awful for anything else. I steam vegetables in it sometimes. hmmm. I make a calzone that reheats okay in it straight from the freezer. It's something I make so my nurse wife can nuke is in the breakroom microwave.

>Foods that don't suffer in the microwave
No such thing. All existence is suffering.

>Being is desire and desire is suffering
what did he mean by this?

I assume those would be much better in an oven
The only thing I don't really like reheated is pasta. It always comes out rubbery, so I have to sort of pan fry it with a bit of water and a lid.

Pasta is ok in the microwave if you drip a little bit of water on it and cover with paper towel while reheating.
