My wife asked me to cook Christmas dinner. She wanted a stuffed roast chicken.

Why the lack of vegetables? I grew up in Alabama and always had veggies with the meal.
Collard/mustard/turnip greens, squash in a variety of ways, okra or okra and tomatoes, almond green beans, lemon/garlic broccoli, creamed spinach, boiled/sautéed /stuffed cabbage, chicken divane, field peas, and during the summer a fresh, raw veggie platter. And almost always a salad with any lettuce other than iceberg.
