What would you buy from these shelves, /ck/?
>Chef boyardee pizza maker
sounds fun
>>7203639
boyardee?
Chef Boyardee pizza is my extreme guilty pleasure, so that
>Decent tasting crust
>Tangy sauce
>Only parm cheese makes it weird but good
Contadina tomato sauce because I'm confident in the sodium content
The apron
not a damn thing
>>7203639
The only thing in that pic I would even consider buying is the spaghetti in the lower left hand corner. And then only in a pinch. The rest of it is all industrially made convenience food, and I don't eat that shit.
>>7203678
This
Anyone who buys that trash deserves colon cancer
>>7203690
I wouldn't go that far. I totally understand that some folks don't know how to cook, feel pressed for time and have fussy children to feed. They resort to products like this out of desperation.
The problem is when those kids grow up and consider that shit the benchmark for Italian food, not even realizing there's a difference between Italian and Italian-American. Those are the poor unfortunates who have their perceptions reinforced by awful chain restaurants that can get away with serving pretty much this same shit because their customers don't know any better.
yurofag here, who has never seen anything like that over here before, are those crusts in those 2-pack-bags any good?
>no Larosa's sauce
Nothing, desu senpai.
If I don't make my own, it's Larosa's or bust.
Wouldn't buy a damn thing from there, not even the pasta in the bottom left. All my shit is homemade. Don't care if it takes an hour or two opposed to just slapping ore made shit on other premade shit, it'll come out better if I make it myself.
>>7203736
No, they're sugary and dry as shit.
I might look at the spaghetti on the left then buy San Giorgio or Barrila as usual.
>>7203745
dry as in crunchy/crispy or as in dried-out?
Maybe the mini crusts as flatbread substitutes.
I'd buy one of those small cans of pineapple on the top shelf, take it home, and blend it with some rum and coconut cream.
>>7203660
This
>>7203772
The dough is soft and pliable, but there's absolutely no moisture to it. It's like biting into the driest white chicken meat you've ever had, except it doesn't taste like chicken, but instead a very sweet dough, almost pastry in flavor.
>>7203709
WHAT THE FUCK DID I TELL YOU
STOP POSTING THAT DAMN PICTURE IN EVERY THREAD
>>7203660
Has to be sauce, not puree.
>>7203639
Do I have to?
the pepperoni. At least I can snack on that. The crusts are bad, the sauces are too sweet. I never thought I'd be one of those "I like my food pure" assholes, but fresh tomatoes have changed me.
>>7203639
>dat pic
>absolutely haram
Can't believe no one has said the dish towels.
>>7203805
I'd say like a dried out dish-sponge.
>>7203709
Fuck you I'm also sick of seeing this retarded pizza
the pepperoni
>>7204022
i think it's an apron
and it got mentioned pretty early on
>>7203639
is this for kids?
real adults surely don't make "pizza" this way. This is like a large sized lunchibles, no?
>>7204495
I buy those crusts when I wanna make BBQ chicken pizza. The sauces in the pic are not good.
>>7204597
>Making BBQ chicken pizza when you're not a teenager.
Buy your dough from your favorite local pizza joint. All the ones around here will sell you the raw dough if you ask, so long as it's not a chain.
Pasta, those 8oz cans of tomato sauce, and nothing else.
>>7203639
Uh, nothing.
The fuck you think I am, Gwenyth Paltrow doing the food stamp challenge or something?
boboli and classico pizza sauce
>>7203829
lol i wondered if it's the same guy posting the same picture in every thread.
>>7203705
That stuff is not even a fair representative of italian-american food.
A guilty pleasure of mine is those Totino's party pizzas, but considering them pizza is like considering pizza rolls to be real pizza.
The Velveeta on the far right reminded me of this old advertisement that actually suggests serving spaghetti with balls of processed cheese instead of meatballs.
>Pizza squeeze
Jesus fuck, you flyovers are barely human.
>Great Value pizza crust mix
Do flyovers really eat this shit?
>>7204643
It's not a terrible idea. I'd use paneer or something similar though.
those crusts are experiments of science.
>>7203675
This is the only answer.
Not a god damned thing.
>>7204641
>That stuff is not even a fair representative of italian-american food.
But if you know nothing of Italian American food and most of what you eat is from supermarkets and chain restaurants you might not know the difference.
>>7204643
if using vegan not-cheese it could be a cool vegan alternative
Oh good lord
>>7203736
>yurofag here, who has never seen anything like that over here before, are those crusts in those 2-pack-bags any good?
Not bad;
When I'm feeling lazy I use a frozen pizza and add to it.
When I'm feeling slightly motivated I use a shell kit and make a pizza.
When I'm feeling fancy I have something else.
The real trick is the cooking time and what you cooked it on. Many of the direction call for placing the pizza directly on an oven rack. That's some sort of heresy to me and I always use a pizza pan to cook them.
>>7203705
>>7204676
I was going to say ricotta. Definitely not American though. That stuff works in grilled cheese and mac n cheese, but the thought of pairing it with spaghetti makes me gag.
Reminds me of this picture I posted last year around Cinco
>>7205402
>Many of the direction call for placing the pizza directly on an oven rack.
I just don't have the balls to do it.
>>7206077
What store is that?
>>7204675
Yes, don't you wish that a faggot kike would llike yu would too?
>>7203709
That's even worse then the fucking ylyl banana. Please kill yourself anon.
>>7206127
>admitting to being lazy and not giving a fuck about food.
>>7206083
Kroger.
>>7204864
Just use some motherfucking veg. Mash some soybeans and spinach into a ball and fry them, you don't need a vegan substitute meatball made with vegan substitute cheese.
>>7203639
Velveta for when I'm drunk off my ass and want some mac and cheese shells
>>7206157
I'm not a nigger
>>7206157
I wont make excuses for niggers either. I leave that to clinton/obama supporters.
OP here! What I posted was from Wal-Mart, for anyone curious (the Great Value label should have been a giveaway).
Just for comparison, here's the equivalent section at Target.
>>7206394
Italian-American food is a joke. I could have told you that.
>>7203639
Everything looks like shit. Maybe get some spaghetti from the bottom left and some classico but I've never had that so Idk. The peppperoni looks OK too.
>>7206394
how good are those archer farms and market pantry brands anyway?
>>7206934
Pretty good, actually. If you're going to be buying garbage anyway, I've found the few Target-brand items I've had to be superior to national brands.
I don't buy a lot of that stuff though so my experience may not be representative of the range of their products.
Not a damned thing
>>7206934
Archer Farms potato chips are pretty good. I used to get their parmesan garlic and olive oil ones a lot.
>>7203639
Maybe the parm. But even that I'd rather get from the cheese section.
>>7206394
What would be better, making a pizza from the Chef Boyardee kit, or making a frozen pizza? I mean, if you had to choose one?
Pizza sauce and thats it
The pepperoni... maybe.
Depends whether I can get some elsewhere.
The rest of this is just not worth my time
The boboli crust and classico pizza sauce = win
