Hey /ck/, I want to organize a LOTR movienight with some friends and was wondering if you guys had any ideas what would be some great middle-earth food that would go along with it?
I'm not a very experienced cook, but I was thinking of taking a stab at some English pies or something. Some nice dark beers to wash everything down as well.

I'm assuming you're not in England. If there is an "English" store in your town, you can probably get some frozen meat pies or pasties. Just heat them up. Waaaay easier than making them... As pie crust can be a bitch to get right.

They ate Seed Cakes, Buttered Scones, Raspberry Jam and Apple Tarts, Mince Pies and Cheese, Pork Pies and Salad, Eggs, Cold Chicken and Pickles and Bilbo had a biscuit.
