I collect these when I travel for work, I will shamelessly grab hadnles out the buffet table baskets whenever I see them

>Also take the hotel soaps every day so I leave with as many as possible
>>
>>7185898
Don't forget the shampoos, girls love those and sometimes it's cool to just try out different soaps and shampoos.

>>7185883
That's cool, I've only seen the regular in mini size before. On airplanes and in hotels, I hear they have them sometimes in MREs.

/ck/ - Miniatures and Hotel Petty Crime

I love those tiny Tabasco things, but I don't get to go to places that give them away often.

Why are people illiterate and/or retarded?
>>
>>7185975
It's not petty crime. You're allowed to take replenishables. Taking towels or the coffee machine, on the other hand....
>>
>>7187514

dunno, you seem to be an expert, enlighten us
>>
>>7185898
I do the same. I don't even use Tabasco that much, I just like how small they are
I also steal the water glasses from hotel bathrooms. They always have the nicest shape for sipping whiskey out of
>>
>>7185883
When I was in the Army, those little bottles came with our rations / MREs.
>>
>>7187559
British army rat' packs still contain them.
It's about the only edible thing in the new ones.

It's kind of crazy how good the chipotle Tabasco is. The rest of their sauces I can generally take or leave (although the green isn't bad), but the chipotle one is really delicious. I just wish they sold it in larger bottles at the store because I'm always going through mine pretty fast.
>>
>>7187527
Read the name on the bottle, then spell it correctly, retard.
>>
>>7187607
You have to shop around. Some stores, but not many, carry the very large chipotle bottle.
>>
>>7187580
Did you used to get rum rations too or was that just the British navy?

You can get drum barrel sized ones too, just call up the company and ask. It's not a big deal.
>>
>>7189880
The Navy used to get half a pint of rum per day.
It stopped in the 1970s I believe.

Here's one that I bet a lot of folk haven't seen.

It's a cute bottle 150ml of Worchestershire from Lea & Perrins.

I like the mini jams and honeys you get at hotel breakfast buffets.

>>7189909
Isn't that the normal size? Did I just get memed on?

300ml was the normal size, I thought?
>>
>>7191209
I think you're right actually, I'll have to check my cupboard. They just seem smaller than a standard 330ml canned drink, so I assumed 150ml was the norm.
>>
I miss those tiny bottles in an MRE. They don't even give you that shit now. You're lucky just to get a packet of hotsauce these days.
>>
>>7191209
>>7191202
296ml is normal so 150 is a mini.
>>

Canned drink? What are you on about?

You know, like cans of coke? It's a common object that I happened to remember the volume of, and the lea and perrins volume seemed smaller.
>>
>>7187522
Thats not petty crime (usually). Most hotels list the prices of things in your room. You can take as many towels, hair dryers, or pillows you want but you will be billed for each item you take
>>
>>7187819

I know, but I don't want a gallon jug. Something in between the standard Tabasco-size bottle and an industrial-size container would be nice
>>
>>7193172
Consider a 1/2 gallon bottle?
>>
>>7193154
I know but I figured you were refencing it in terms of hot sauce or tabasco. There are cans though, I've only seen them once and I remember after my post of bloody mary mix with tabasco in it. I've only seen them on an airplane. JFK to Phoenix and we got a jet escort for a time, I was falling asleep and hear some roar, look out the window, I was seating just ahead of the wings of the plane and there some jet fighter right off of it. I think it was an f-16. It likely wasn't alone, there probably another behind us targeting the plane just in case. That was right after "9/11." I thought it was pretty cool, my girlfriend was a little freaked out but I was like relax babe.
>>
>>7194346
Hah, shit, I get it now. Yeah, drinking an actual can of the stuff would be pretty rough.
>>
>>7194387
I only wish that I had a camera with me at the time. An F-16 off the wing of a commerical airliner would make some nice pictures. It was funny that my girlfriend was freaked out. I'm just glad I didn't tell her that if they wanted to blast us out of the sky it would have been done already.
>>
>>7194428
I took pictures of the twin towers on fire, and collapsing, with a shitty little disposable camera I bought when the first plane hit.

I have no idea what happened to those pictures, I got 'em developed but it was a rough time in my life and I didn't pay much attention to my stuff when I moved.

Anyway it's crazy now how we take it for granted that anyone can just take a picture of anything, any time.
>>
>>7194443
Oh, APMPG, I should have known it was you.

Yeah that smell, it was like the smell of hell itself. It hung over the city for like 2 months.
>>
>>7194435
It's no different then if someone has a photographic memory. Like in cryptography, hiding stuff through obfuscation isn't a real way to secure anything. So what if someone takes a photo?
>>
>>7194449
Don't get me wrong I'm all for more photos of stuff. I'm looking forward to when lightfield cameras become available on mobile phones.
>>
>>7187559
Only way to eat omelette MREs... We would horde them for that occasion...
>>
>>7194452
I remember when on the old cameras they could be put into IR mode and used to see through chicks dresses. That was pretty funny. Still IR mode on even my cellphone can be used to see if a remote control is working. Put the thing in night/ir mode and you'll see the remote control flashing when activated.

... it's a good way to check if the battery needs replacement

If you're going to insult people you might want to try to get your spelling right. At least try to put a small effort into it.

Silly to have that piece of plastic sitting on top of that is it a power supply? The thing could go bad and melt the plastic. Just use a cable of the proper length in the first place.

My dad used to fly all the time for business in the 90's, and always carried a tiny bottle or two of Tabasco for his bloody marys.

One time Bush Sr. sat next to him and traded a splash of his bottle of Tabasco for a presidential tie pin; it's one of my dad's favorite stories.
