Do you like cheese? I like cheese.

yeah cheese is pretty good
>>
I do but none of that highbrow shit, Kraft singles are everything cheese ever needs to be.
>>

Oh boy, here we go again...
>>
>>7184047
Seriously, why do you want cheese that smells like old sweat and you have to clean a knife afterwards when you could have cheese flavored cheese which smells like actual cheese and needs no time consuming prep work?
>>

My tastes are changing, only since about a year (I'm 30) I can start to appreciate for instance beers, olives, and as I recently found out, more cheeses.
Just by themselves is usually too much, can you guys recommend some 'entry level' cheeses & combos?

It's true, Americans do make cheese.

Gorgonzola smells horrible and tastes even worse.

Haven't you ever had an award winning gourmet Wisconsin cheese? We make the finest, blandest cheese in the universe, with real milk from our live dairy cow's.

Pic related is my newest obsession. Usually if I buy like 7-12 oz of cheese it'll last me maybe 3+ weeks. I've bought this stuff 3 times and each time the 7oz square doesn't last 2 weeks. I've really been enjoying having this on crackers for breakfast. The website for this brand (Mystic Cheese Co) is real campy but the cheese is fucking great and I'm glad I found this local treasure.

I like craft singles on my cheese burgers I add a little chili powder to my burgers too and viola a chili cheese burger. I usually put the cheese on the burgers when I'm grilling them to melt it. Its like the perfect combo of cheese spicy. I also put my bread on the grill to toast it.I usually go for wheat bread which is good but there are other breads too which are good like honey wheat bread. I like wheat bread I guess.
>>
No I actually hate cheese, it tastes gross and the strength of the flavor and aroma overpowers everything its included in unless it's a very light sprinkling.

Tastes and smells like exactly what it is, gross fermented moldy garbage not fit for pigs.

You new here? There are people who didn't know avocados existed until some fast food restaurant started serving them. There are people who think angus steak is an exotic luxury breed of cattle because of fast food restaurants. There are people who think the only purpose of food that isn't from a microwave container is to show off. There are people who get visibly angry at the mention of Indian, Japanese, or Persian food, because the only possible reason there could be to eat food that isn't a Stouffer's Hungry Man Meal is because those are enemy countries and surrendering your stomach to the enemy is trendy among social justice warriors.

Welcome to /ck/, please enjoy your stay.

Yes, the WIDF calls it "international" even though it is sponsored by the WIDF.

Also, the WIDF can't even win its own competition.

Do they need to? Just 'cause someone hosts something, doesn't mean they have to win.

Still, I didn't know that. Pretty funny about the no wins since 1988.
>>
>>7187796
The implication is that it's not so much "hosting" as it is "sponsoring", what with the raison d'etre of the WIDF being to promote and improve the sales of Wisconsin-based cheese products.
>>
>>7184178
This is a bait post right? Because the cheapest store near me carries like almost every one of these. And the local store carries quite a few more expensive ones.
>>

nice pun bro
too bad it's based on the wrong pronunciation of 'Gouda'.
it's not "good-a", it's "ghowda".

Trust me, I'm from Belgium, I know all about the cheeses.
>>
>>7187854
From your use of "store" you are American, therefore you are talking about shitty American ripoffs that use the real products name as clapistan is China tier for consumer protection.

If you didn't know: best beers and cheeses are made by monks in Belgian abbeys.

Yes the rind is meant to be eaten and I find it incredibly mild. It's light and has a great texture for chewing. Was your rind slightly orange? If so, your cheese was probably over-ripe and on the verge of going bad.

The implication is that Wisconsin is the third world country. Not that you speak on behalf of real states. The ones that make actual, non-plastic cheese.

Daily reminder that flavor, aroma, texture, and visible mold are not manufacturing defects, contrary to what the WIDF will have you believe.
