Never seen a Cherry Mash before. Looks like the same thing except with the nuts evenly distributed around it and without the maraschino cherry that is (usually) inside.

You can grow peanuts between cotton crops to replenish the soil quality. The US had a surplus of peanuts because of that so they invented stuff like peanut butter and used peanuts in candies to increase demand so farmers could make money off them.
