The reason I am loading on Iron is because I am going to give a blood donation next week. I don't want to be a rail bone like half of you guys on this board.
I've heard of people taking blackstrap as an iron supplement.
But that shit's delicious, I eat it on toast with some peanut butter every morning. Fuck it's good.

Maple syrup or brown sugar baked into oblivion. Like a balsamic reduction but sweet instead of vinegar. A little metallic. Really nutritious, usually really cheap. Makes a good drink mixed with hot water.
