Rockstar is alright yeah. That same base flavour that I like. Can't quite put my finger on what separates the flavours but there are definitely two distinct camps. I don't drink much of the stuff these days.

Coffee is bitter. Energy drinks are more refreshing in that they are colder, thinner and intensely sweet. I don't have much of a sweet tooth anymore but I still crave a sugary drink like every few weeks. Water is fine in between. I wouldn't bother with coffee.

The Monster shakes have been ruined from what I can tell. I noticed that the can was changed at the store yesterday, so I bought one hoping they'd taste the same. It was thinner, and when I got the bottom pieces of unblended cottage cheese-like soft chunks are all that filled my disappointed mouth. I always thoroughly shake them, too.

Rockstar honestly has the best flavors, bar none. It's amazing that they're often cheaper than monster, too, but I guess that's what happens when your branding is associated with Call of Duty and various 12 year olds.
