Then go live in a black majority nation.
>>
it's kinda sad black people are so simple and "undeveloped."

native americans practiced selective breeding gave us all these unique ingredients: corn, squash, potatoes, chili peppers, tomatoes, chocolate, and vanilla.

black people? i can't think of anything special they gave the world. they just never really took advantage of africa's rich flora and selectively breed cool unique crops.

sub-sahara africa probably has so many culinary splendors hidden away in the wild. and we'll never have them.

I know we are /pol/ baiting, but have you guys ever watched an anthony bourdain show where he goes anywhere in africa? Sure there is one disgusting scene in his South Africa show where a bunch of savages eat intestine, but for the post part its huge delicious looking stews, roasted fruits and yams stuffed with meat, and fried whole fish.

The world shouldn't let Africa's population get so big. It will destroy us all, we should be castrating them at birth or something.

Maybe we can make up some bull shit tradition that only 1 in 4 boys get to keep their balls.
>>
>>7126116
It's not like most of them leave the continent, what is the problem?
>>
>>7126119
Every fucker wants to help them, be it aid or immigration. We waste a lot on letting them breed like rabbits.
Besides, it's almost cruel. So many of them starve to death because of over population.
>>
>>7126022

Who would ruin delicious sour food by making it sweet?
>>
>>7126124
I agree that they shouldn't breed. But a middle class person in Europe of the US uses several hundred times more resources over the course of their life than a poor African.

North and South America:
>more harsh environments
>fewer large game
>fewer nutritious plants

Sub-Saharan Africa
>game literally everywhere
>environment basically never changes
>nutritious plants everywhere too

So native americans had to adapt and start farming and selectively breed shit while black people could just go out every day and get a bunch of antelope and yams or whatever and never run out so they never had to adapt at all.

I can think of two very important crops first discovered and cultivated on the African continent: coffee and watermelon. It was a long time ago, but they're pretty fucking significant to humanity. Also, fried chicken. West Africans were cooking that before the white slavers came, and it caught on globally after they made it in the southern U.S.

Oh, and on more thing: Beer. It is very possible beer was developed in ancient Egypt/Mesopotamia. This is hard to pin down because it was near the beginning of civilization. And as we all know, wild yeast cultivation from beer brewing led to yeast leavened bread. Not bad, I think.

There are probably more, but I'm not a science dork.

That's... actually pretty smart.

There is literally nothing wrong with eating insects, and you also remove a pest. 2 birds with one stone.
>>
>>7125989
no, in the same episode its pretty clear that most of african history and culture just has completely lacked the inspiration or initiative to develop its cuisine. at all.

I'm sure if Africans were capable they'd use even more. Unfortunately they couldn't even domesticate a single animal.

I think only Ghana, being coastal, looked decent. Every other African food show looked like a version of bizarre foods - eating as survival-horror. I'd sooner eat a Les Stroud diet from a swamp than anything from sub Saharan Africa.

Is it true that Africans are fucking obsessed with peanuts?
>>
>>7130557

Don't know about "obsessed", but ground nut stew is popular in Africa, and it is peanut-based.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yW4cZ1oCxw

Traditionally it was served with "fufu", which is pretty much bread with the consistency of mashed potatoes. It's made from pounded cassava root, but cassava is hard to find in modern Africa so most people use cornmeal.
>>
>>7125939
I'm an equal opportunity carnivore and if it tastes good I'll eat it, but eating monkey seems sad to me. They have faces and hands and personalities and I can't help but feeling it's a bit too close to cannibalism. I mean, if offered I'd probably eat some but I would feel bad about it.

I formed a thread a few days ago, couscous is originally Sahelian African the Berbers adopted it later
>>
>>7130768

This claim for the African origins of couscous was originally proposed by Professor É. Lévi-Provençal, in his monumental Histoire de l’Espagne Musulmane and is suggested in the early Arabic sources on West Africa. Other studies, such as Professor Robert Hall’s, using the tenth-century work of Ibn al-Faqīh’s Mukhtasar kitāb al-buldān, also seem to support this suggestion. In West Africa, one finds sorghum, founi, black fonio (Digitaria iburua) ,and finger millet (Eleusine coracana), a cereal of Nigeria (also cultivated in India) made into couscous. The Hausa of central Nigeria and the Lambas of Togo call this couscous made with black fonio, wusu-wusu. Sorghum was a popular grain for making couscous, and the Moroccan Berber word for sorghum, illan or ilni, is the same as the word in the West African language of Songhai, illé, lending further circumstantial evidence for an African genesis for couscous

Funny enough, that is what the Arab did with their slaves when the Slavery is at it's boom. This was the reason why Arabs aren't over run by black but the US are.

I took some drama courses in undergrad for shits and giggles, and I swear, the entire department was a shrine to this guy. Apparently he's the only notable alumni of the actual theater program. There were all these beautiful headshots of him plastered in the hallways, with detailed summaries of his career.

I don't know if any of that is really information worth sharing, but man, starting my day with a hall full of Raymond Holts was the best.

>>7131015
We grind millet, sorghum, fonio, rice and/or lotus to make a flour and then make couscous.

It's precedent is in the steaming of whole grains which is much older.
