Depends on what kind of steak it is. If it's a filet (looks like it might be) then it looks perfect. Anything else, that'd be too rare. Pretty plate, lots of colors.
Personally I'm not a fan of that kind of sear unless it's from a charcoal grill; I prefer a consistent deep brown rather than some light brown and some black, so I just use a plain stainless steel skillet, but that's personal preference.
