Stop being an ungrateful bastard.

Your parents probably should have aborted you if this is how you talk about them.
>>
I know this feeling. Before I became a chef, my family would freak out at how good my cooking was. For some reason some people can't follow a recipe... I have no idea why, it's some kind of retardation or something. I know people who can have a recipe and all the ingredients laid out for them, and it tastes like dogshit. But I make the same one and it's great.

Stay toasty roasty

your parents just like having you home, and want to make you feel good. Thats all.
>>
Buy expensive ingridients yourself then faggot. And yeah, your family is so awful for enjoying a meal toy made them, fucking plebs!
>>
>>7113679
yes, for Thanksgiving

>>7113699
I'm not being ungrateful, I just don't understand why they are giving me praise for following instructions
>>7113748
exactly. I'm not even a chef. I can simply put ingredients into a measuring apparatus.

>>7113822
I've decided to attempt something fancy for Christmas...and I didn't make them a meal, just pies bro.
>>
>>7113413

I've found there are a ton of people out there who literally are incapable of following a simple recipe without fucking it up. You can cook an extremely simple dish for them and they think you're a goddamn wizard.
>>

This.

Seriously, take the fucking compliment. You just want something to complain about.

iirc the type of gourd for proper pumpkin pie isn't normally sold any other way but canned, or would be hard to find

not sure on that but I dont really pay attention to pumpkins when getting produce
