Is it normal to have Thanksgiving dinner early? Like really early? My family is about to sit down for dinner in a few minutes and it's not even 2:30 pm yet. Is this like a common thing because we do this every year

my family is eating at like 3, but we usually eat at 11AM. i don't think we've ever actually had a traditional thanksgiving dinner, it's always at lunch time.
Yes. My family has always eaten around 6 and I've always thought it was weird since everyone else I know eats at 1 or 2
My family isn't having it until Saturday because of everyones conflicting work schedules.
Christmas is probably the only holiday we ever spend on the actual day, the rest of them we either skip, or celebrate a couple days before or after.
It sucks, but that holiday pay is pretty fucking sweet.

It's probably because everyone would be too drunk to finish cooking if you waited later.
I'm at a friend's family's house and have been pre-gaming in my room before I'm called out to make the gravy and carve up the turkey (because I know what I'm doing, and even if I'm visibly drunk/on pills, I'm the most trusted to take care of those steps).

Thanksgiving dinner ahould be eaten earlier than dinner on a typical day, but not at fucking lunchtime. 3-4 is best t b h
