woah

Marco once worked under Raymond, the two are very close.
>>
>>7101816
Is Raymond as big a bore as Marco?
>>
Raymond Blanc seems like a really nice guy. His accent is ridiculously strong for someone who's lived in the UK for decades though.
>>
>>7101844
That's true but he still speaks a lot of french with his family, and what with the amount of English accents anyway i suppose its excusable.
>>
I don't know about greatest, but I've always liked Michel Roux Jr. He just seems like a decent guy who's also a good chef, unlike most of the variety of assholes out there.
>>
>>7101816
Gordon worked under Marco and they despise each other

Blanc is lovely though.

Le Knorr Guy
>>
>>7101899
Didn't he lose Le Gavroche a Michelin start though?

His brother Alain still has 3 stars - he could be a good shout.

*star.

I'm glad that Frankenstein's monster was able to make something of his life

Michel Roux Jr. is Michel Roux's son, famille

Anyway, Michelin stars aren't what they once were.

Thats also true, but Heston worked under them both, and he's nowhere near as big a prick as Gordon. Don't get me wrong, i respect Gordon tremendously, but he's just a bit of a prick.

Gordon had a hard upbringing and harvey's was a very abusive environment so it's understandable.

Blanc was once punched in the face by his boss with a frying pan, which made him come to the UK, he learnt young the value of slow cooking over pressure cooking.
>>
>>7102047
Gordon has SERIOUS issues, so hyper-competitive about everything. But that is what made him become the best chef desu. I don't rate Heston, I went to his restaurant, expensive and most of the ""food"" was """interesting""", but certainly wouldn't ever want to eat it again.
>>
>>7102059
Nor do i from what i've seen, but its telling of character. I personally think it's more important to have soul when it comes to good food in order to create a fantastic eating experience, its not something you can force however skillfully you prepare something. And for me that's why characters like Blanc, Stein, and Floyd (although only a cook) are a pleasure to watch.
>>
>>7101899
I dont know if Michele is still behind the stove, but Le Gavroche isnt a good restuarnat.

I believe that Michel Roux Jr is the son of Albert Roux, and Alain is the son of Michel Roux, making Michel jr and Alain cousins .

>>7102110
Have you eaten there? Obviously its only a personal opinion.

Tell me anon, how had Gregg ascended to the heights that he has? This guy is a complete idiot, but yet gets to mingle with some of the UK's best chefs and is banging a girl 20 years younger than he is.
