Today I made a couple of seafood dishes and I would like to share. The first dish is my own recipe that I thought up while in my bathtub setup watching IEM (pic of my bathtub setup will be the last pic I share today) and it turned out great.I'll start with the pics from that; If anyone wants a step by step at the end let me know.
I am pretty new to cooking and have learned a lot through this board surprisingly though and other channels so this is my first real creation based on all of the knowledge I have gathered from you (not all of you, most of you are mental)
so lets get started.
P.S. Also I would just like everyone that is a PP fan that the movie trailer will be shown at IEM today before the LoL Finals.
Too the cooking now:
So I started out making my sauce, which will also house my fish for cooking.

This is the fish that has been sitting out for a bit and seasoned; that little white thing on the top happened some how; when I added a certain ingrediant some of it curled up and made that delicious little parmesan fucker.

We start to boil some linguine, and there are 17 knorr stock pots in there as well.

We have some sliced asparagus and petite baby bell shrooms ready.

Getting our tomato ready and this is chopped up basil and arg parsley (just kidding about the knorr stock pots guys, there are none in there)

So the sauce, or whatever it's called has been simmering for a bit and this is with the fish and I just added the aspergers.

I failed hard at plating, I don't know how to plate anything; there is linguine under that mess. But damn this was good.

And then this was a dish I made earlier, like 12 hours ago or something but I used an online recipe and just swapped the shrimp out for calamari. It wasn't near as tasty as what I just created myself.

The sauce I made by doing the following:
coat pan w/ canola oil
add minced garlic and ginger
let that brown a bit, not too much
add red curry paste; like two spoons full
mix that up and let it cook a little
add some wine and stir
then add a little bit of butter
and add some chicken broth
and some milk
little bit of sugar
squeeze juice from a lemon in
then cook it down a bit
It's cod but I would have used haddock or halibut but store was out of that some how. Cod still pretty good though.

everyone says to do it so I do; I can't really taste it. I guess it's supposed to bring all the flavors together somehow? I use ginger though because I really like it and can always taste it.
