If you're talking about actual "Jewish" food, as in indigenous Sabra cooking, I am certain Google could afford you the opportunity to learn something new.

I definitely like Jewish deli's but some of the traditional foods don't appeal to me. Not a fan of gefilte fish or matza ball soup. I could eat pastrami and pickles all day though.

I really wouldn't use an oven to lightly toast a bagel, I'd throw it on a hot pan for a minute or so, flip it half way, after slicing it thinly. Thick sliced bagels suck, they're too bready.
Firing up an oven isn't too effective for just one or two bagel slices. Ya know what's fun, ya take the useless middle slices and toss them at useless palistinians.

I've never had "Jewish Food". There aren't many Jews where I live so I've never had a chance to go to a "Jewish Restaurant" or anything. I'll give any sort of food a try if I have the opportunity though.
