I've never seen those particular flavors of Five Alive or them in juice box form. But, my family got the cartons and the frozen cans of concentrate pretty often. Kroger nearby still has the concentrate cans.

I miss 7up popsicles. Both original and cherry 7up flavor. Nobody remembers them when I mention them, so maybe my area was just a test market. Definitely not just frozen 7up, so, I'm not sure ow to replicate them.

Being older than 30 doesn't make anyone younger than you not an adult nor incapable of reminiscing. You're just getting old and, worse yet, whiny about it.

I caught the tail-end of all of the "90s kid" stuff and while it's cool to be reminded of stuff from when I was 4-5 years old those memories are very faint and the trend has reasonably expired.

This thread reminded me of a happy meal I got back in the early 90s. Must have been 92-93.
The "toy" was a bag of tree seeds. I planted a tree, an elm tree I think, this was in GA, so there were pine trees everywhere and it really stood out as it got bigger each year.
Being the stupid kid I was, I planted it too close to the house, we moved away and when I was in town Id drive by my old house to see the tree still getting bigger.
The new owners cut it down around 2011 and it made me sad.

Alas the inexorable march of time has failed to cease at precisely the moment when you and you alone were capable of longing for years not so long past that their memories and your feelings for them could be recaptured with a mere image of an advertisement for brightly colored, mass-produced sugar and salt clusters. Woe to the day when your generation's snackfood is not as well remembered as the next generation's junkfood.

Sometimes if I think reeeal hard aboutt hem, I can still taste them
>>
>>7112174
They still make them, they're bad now.
They've been slowly changing the recipe for years.

The icing is fuckin' garbage now, it's less sugar and more artificial bullshit and flavoring.

The little crackers arn't even gramcrackers either, they are gram FLAVOURED crackers now and they're horrible hard little fuckin' things.

I don't have nostalgia for cheap junk food and i feel sorry for all the victims of child abuse in this thread. I think being in a loving foster home would have been better than getting poisoned with artificial chemicals by your munchausen-by-proxy parents.

That said, when I was fairly young (5 or 6 maybe), my parents used to make these in big batches, and I'd even take them to school sometimes.

Then we moved and somehow the iron got lost in the shuffle. I guess krumkake wasn't a huge priority or maybe pre-internet the irons weren't the easiest thing to acquire. I occasionally have the commercial version when I have the opportunity and the smell makes me nostalgic. But it's still not quite the same. It will never be the same.

Man, this thread has some drpaved nostalgia.. Altoids? Really?

Liked the picture of the gay couple and the black kid though.. Just imagine the cat thinking in some narrator voice like a geico commercial. Words are not allowed to describe such things, as they may offend some feminist/activist that wants to be locked up in a cage and raped by rhinoceroses then left to die. But words are not needed. Pictures say more than words.

Anytime my mom took me to our local Blockbuster i would ask her to buy me these. I didn't like hard candy at the time and these were heaven for me in terms of sweetness and gummy chewiness. They stopped stocking them a year or two before Blockbuster closed and it honestly made me sad to see them go.

I hear they still make them but the recipe isn't the same. Heck, they brought back Toast Crunch, another nostalgia favorite of mine, but it too has suffered recipe mix-ups. It just doesn't taste as good as i remember.
