Anyway, like I was sayin', potatoes are the fruit of the land. You can barbecue them, boil them, broil them, bake them, saute them. Dey's uh, potato-kabobs, potato creole, potato gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple potato, lemon potato, coconut potato, pepper potato, potato soup, potato stew, potato salad, potato and potatoes, potato burger, potato sandwich...
How my Polish Jewish grandma makes latkes:
4:1 potato to onion ratio
Grate both on largest part of your cheese grater
Salt
Flour
Pan fry in half inch of canola oil until light brown and crispy on the outside
Dip in sour cream or applesauce
Great use for too many potats

I actually really like microwaved potatoes. I just wash them, put them in the microwave for about 6 minutes, while rotating it every minute or so.
When it's done I just add, salt , pepper and butter and it's pretty good.
