this should tell you all you need to know about glutenfags
Serious question, do mercans hardly ever eat just plain cooked potatoes? I like em mashed every now and then but there's a lot of dishes where I prefer cooked over mashed. Don't think I ever seen a mercan dish with whole cooked potatoes posted here, just curious.

Just plain potatoes with no butter or salt or anything at all? Sounds terrible.

Are you irish
>>7091808
>Sounds terrible
Did you just want to say that? Salted is obvious and a little butter is very common too.
>>7091820
Are you faggot?

So not plain then. So basically just unmashed mashed potatoes.

Guess I should have started a 'Is it true fatlords only ever eat pig disgusting mash with their steaks?' thread.

Man, it's potatoes. A whole potato tastes just like a mashed one.

Well, in my household we eat baked potatoes pretty often, especially with steak. Sometimes we'll cut them up and panfry them with some spices, and sometimes we'll take fingerling potatoes and bake them with some spices and a drizzle of olive oil. Mashed potatoes is pretty rare, unless if it's just the boxed instant sort. We reserve the effort of actually mashing them for the holidays, and then it's a massive pot that lasts us a week or two of meals.
I don't recall a recipe other than baked potatoes where I've eaten a whole plain potato (sans butter and salt, sometimes bacon and chives) but if we have leftover boiled/baked potatoes my sister likes to snack on them like apples.
