Interesting. I usually use their general ideas, but you really have to take everything they say with a grain of salt. Wondering if that's some of his doing, especially since they've seemed to be skewing towards the more "hip" or "obscure" ingredient combinations instead of classic american home cooking.
At the same time, that seems to be a cultural shift as well, so you can't really blame them now that supermarkets are carrying a much more varied variety of great ingredients these days.
