An old guy in a camo vest gave me this outside a 7/11 about an hour ago. Had them in a cooler in his truck cab.
Tried selling me some at first, but just gave it to me for free since I don't carry cash.
Question is, since I don't know how he made it, how should I prepare it?
More pics
I really dont understand how so many people on this board find themselves accepting random foods from strangers.
Even more confusing is that you are ok with it and bring it home and post it on here with the intention of eating it
>>7083337
how many bucks did it cost?
without flash
with flash
>>7083349
0 bucks
I think he was just trying to get rid of them & maybe make some money in the process

Not everyone is Hannibal, anon.
I'm asking for basic food safety, and maybe one of you guys knows how to cook deer meat.
Its probably poisoned
>>7083359
Just make deer burgers. Its minced so if theres any special way to cook deer meat its moot now since its all ground up. You should be fine.
I just think its funny that there are so many threads like "I got this meat from someone do you know what it is" Im not knocking you I just think its strange and funny

>everyone out there is some facsimile of terrorist and shouldn't be trusted
perhaps the old man is a total bro, that just wanted to hook some people up with some relatively healthy red meat?
cook it like you would beef, but keep in mind that venison tends to be a bit leaner. so don't heat blast it into well-done-land
venison chili is pretty good, the heavy spice covers up any gamey-ness
i bet a venison bolognese-like idea would be good too
godspeed OP, congratulations on joining the whitetail jihad

>everyone out there is some facsimile of terrorist and shouldn't be trusted
Didnt say that.
Depends where you live OP, if its a big hunting town, near woods etc. Then the burger is fine. My dad and I would give away our extra deer meat to homeless shelters and sell them outside churches to random folksies. $2 a lb and sell something like 25 lbs, its a quick buck (lol) and makes sure it doesn't go to waste + it helps out your common man.
Course, anyone who would pitch an attitude about random meat sellers seemed of questionable character themselves, at least those who were overtly precocious with us.
Just another day in the life of a white person.

Don't listen to this guy
>>7083365
Deer burger = ground venison. It's too lean and you won't like the taste.
Substitute it as beef in spaghetti, chili, etc. Something that will impart flavor into it.
Dear season is coming up, probably a hunter clearing out the freezer of meat he didn't eat to make room in freezer for a kill this year.
His attempt to sell it to you was illegal, but who cares.

>Don't heat blast it into well-done land
Huh, shouldn't I be concerned about hygeine? I don't know what his standards are & what improper prep could leave in.

North VA/S MD, lots of woods around but not a big hunting town or anything.

City whites are friendlier than rural whites?
>>7083456

From the looks of the packaging and the stamped letters almost 100% chance he took it to a butcher to be processed.
Here's how it works city folks/non hunters.
You kill a deer, you gut the bitch, you tag its ear, you go get it recorded (hell in WI local bars do it, their just making a note so the state knows hunting activities how many deer are left etc). Then most people take it to butcher after that, myself included. You tell the butcher what cuts you want, summer sausage/ground venison/deer bacon etc.
Have a few friends that are 'Big Country' and cut their own deer up, but fuck that noise its like $100 to process one and still comes out way cheaper than beef pound for pound.
>Tl;dr
It's been professionally butcher, your fine familia
>>7083467
Rural whites are scary and creepy. Their "nice" is more of a passive-aggressive kind of nice. Behind your back they're plotting on how to make you squee like a pig. It's best to just fly over them if possible.

>>7083483
Your tricks won't work on me, cletus. I know how to book a nonstop flight because I learned to read and write.

He's talking about people from a small town in Maine or some shit, not Florida swamprats.

10/10 post anon, you helpful motherfucker
OP what state do you live in? Here in NE its rifle deer week, and everyone in my town harvests and shares with everyone else. It's a great time, my buck got me 110lbs of meat. We mostly get the main cuts ground, and about half made into sausages, jerky, and sticks. Have 40lbs or so ground, great stuff in chili, burgers, etc.
its human meat

Glad to help. Now I can shitpost guilt free the rest of the night.
>>7083480
Shit my brother hit a deer the other night and just cut the back strap out of it
I understand the convenience of it but doing it yourself isn't that hard
I'm curious how macaronia me kima would turn out with venison.
>>7083337
It's not just about how it's butchered, but also the fact that it was a wild animal and that you got it for free from some dude that you don't know that makes cooking well done safer.
Make some venison chili or venison loaf.
>>7083541
>venison loaf.
That sounds really good

They got a lot of parasites tho?
You're a fucking retard
That is all

>>7083614

JalapeƱo and Cheese Deer sticks are one of my favorite snacks of all time.
>>7083337
>how should I prepare it?
Step one is to throw it in the trash.
>>7083337
People at work would give this away during deer season because theres so much of it. Usually it is 50/50 ground beef and deer.
>>7083349
This guy gets it.
>>7083337
it's human flesh
you're probably eating something with cum in it
i hope the free meal is worth it op
It's definitely not human meat. Nor it looks like any primate meat.
If you are worried with poison, just give some to a stray dog and keep an eye on it for a couple hours. Doubt it, though.
As long as you dont eat it raw or undercooked, and if the meat doesn't smells bad it should be ok to eat
>>7083442
I ate deer burger all the time mate not sry at all, delicious and juicy, just gotta not over cook it
>>7083348
you obviously are a closeted weeaboo who is so used to brightly lit linoleum floored grocery stores that you cant fathom an actual human being who isn't inside a corporate bigbox giving you food. are you fucking autistic or just an idiot? you know before industrialized farming and mass consumerism we had things called family ranches and farms...
OP that looks like good meat. me and my buddy got a buck last month. got the heart and liver in my freezer and makin sausage out o the rest mostly. got some nice tenderloin out of it too.
