How much do you pay for milk, /ck/? And how much milk do you usually go through in a week?

>inb4 buttblasted lactose intolerants

$3-4 thereabouts for a half gallon

Lasts until it spoils. We never get through it.

We buy..ahem...homo.

Mac's is the name of the convenience store / gas chain throughout all of Canada, save for Québec (the only place it's called Couche-Tard). The colour scheme and logo is the same country-wide, though.

OP's is clearly "Mac's". So while he is a Canuck, he's not Québécois.
>>
I pay like $3.50 for 2 litres of full cream

Drink about a litre a week at home, plus 1-2 cafe lattes per day
>>
>>7080506
$3.99 a gallon. $2.78 a gallon when on sale. I go through a GOMAD
>>
>>7080533
This.

I'm in Ontario, and if OP had said this was a picture from here, I'd have zero reason to think he was lying.

>it only comes in cartons

I still can't bring myself to throw my milk pitcher out.
>>
>>7080569

Don't drink soy milk man, soy is toxic in high doses

Maybe almond milk?
>>
$3.94 per gallon.
About one gallon every eight-to-ten days.
>>
How is it that milk in Ontario has cost about $4/gal for like... ten years? Fifteen? More? Everything else at Macs has doubled in price since I was a kid, but milk seems to be impervious to inflation. Is it due to government subsidies or something?
>>
>>7080569
>>7080576

Listen to this man. Soy milk is for fags anyway, I'm in no way against regular milk, but when I want something a bit lighter that tastes similar almond milk is the shit
>>
>>7080506
4.50 for a gallon once a week or so.

I'm the only one in my household who drinks cow milk so I don't have to worry about hogging it all.
>>
No fucking joke.
4 gallons a week. I go to WallyWorld to get it at 5.50usd/gallon.
That's just white. a gallon of chocolate a week. But now that its holiday time, a half gal. of egg not every week and a half. I cut it with 50/50 milk to make it less thick and extend it's drinkability.
>>
>>7080601
*also its strictly whole milk
>>
>>7080566
How do you dispense this? You pour it into a vessel at home?
>>
>>7080506
Holy dooley, why does Canadamilk cost so much? It's like almost half the cost adjusting for exchange in Australia. (and we make a killing selling overpriced milk to the Chinese - $8AUD a litre).

Is it too cold for moocows up there?
>>
>>7080620
You buy a milk pitcher (they're cheap, you can get 'em for about 1$).

What that guy bought was a large bag with smaller bags inside. Each bag of milk is 1L to 2L. You then put the milk bag into the pitcher, cut the corner where you'll pour, and voila!
>>
>>7080625
In America, milk costs very little. But they also make very little, as the minimum wage.

In Canada, milk costs a bit more, but we also make a bit more.

In Australia, milk is stupid expensive, but you also make a stupid amount of dollarydoos.

It just depends on the area. Really, you could argue it costs the same everywhere.
>>
>>7080626
>>7080627

3.50 in NYC

About 2 gallons a week by myself
>>
>>7080506

It's 25p per pint of milk (Iceland in the UK) - I usually buy and use a 6pint bottle every week or so.
>>
3.15 when I can get it, 3.75 on the higher side of things. 4 person household, we go through a gallon a week.
>>
$3.75 for a gallon. I think the Prairie Farms and store brands are about that price. The Shoppers Value stuff is cheaper.

We recently got a Ruler Foods, which sells Kroger products, and their milk and eggs are a more reasonable price. Despite having just bought one last week I can't remember how much it was though.

I don't go through milk very quickly.
>>
>>7080506

>>
$2.39 for a gallon every two weeks

$2 for a litre of delicious lactose-free UHT milk which is perfect for espresso and oat porridge due to it being sweeter than regular milk.
>>
>>7080506

where is this
>>
>>7080768
Another advantage is that I can buy in bulk and not worry about having storage room in my fridge because UHT stores on the shelf. Reducing my chances of running out of milk.

about $2 for a half gallon, once a week. it's just me, and if i buy a gallon the last couple glasses get bad.

i buy whole unless i'm feel like a faggot.
>>
I spend a dollar a litre
I don't drink milk but I do make Greek yoghurt.
I don't know how much that 1L gets. I buy 8L at a time and I get at least 3kg of yoghurt from that (I went to check but my scale only goes to 3) and I eat 150g a day.
>>
>>7081312
...you don't? It stays in the fridge. Honestly, I've never had an issue with milk going bad. Longest I had an open bag going was a month or so, and it was still fine.

It stays good for a long long long time.

Most people go through it pretty quickly anyway. A bag usually lasts half a week, if that.
>>
>>7080625
those are convenience store prices mate. If you go to an actual grocery store its more reasonable

go through a 4L in a week or two. really depends on how many lattes i make any given week. usually once a day, sometimes twice though. i recently discovered 1% is perfectly good for latte (had previously use 2%)
>>

Yeah, it's much better to measure things in random numbers of feetsies and then divide that into twelve for some reason, and weight? Forget it. "I weigh 150 British coins hurr durr!"

You drink the fuckin' milk m8

It also helps that the sealed, airtight bags actually keeps the milk bags fresher from the factory, during shipping/etc. You also don't get a cardboard-y flavour from the milk cartons.

You can buy a 2L bottle of milk, and drink it over a week, but you have to keep reopening it, or every 3 days you can cut the nub off a new milk bag and mm. Fresh.
