I'm honestly more intrigued by you deglazing this pan you seem to have sauteed onions in with... beer? Do tell. The pork butt looks good but since they aren't hard to do, I can't pretend to be truly impressed. I bet it will taste good though, they almost always do as long as they aren't dried out, which this one does not appear to be.

All memeing aside, I like to inject mine with a 1 to 2 mixture of apple juice and apple cider vinegar. I coat the outside with yellow mustard and liberally apply the rub. Rub changes with what I have but I use the Alton Brown ratio of autism. I smoke it with lump charcoal (mesquite is most common in my region) and use apple chips. Internal temp of 195 is when it's done. Pretty proven method.
