I've been using bouillon in my water for quite some time now. Depending on what I'm making of course.

like rice for example. Seriously you niggers need to start seasoning your water

He looks disheveled, borderline drunk and sad. You can see him contemplating in his head how the hell it could have come to this.

Don't get me wrong, almost all of these famous chefs have sold out and kudos for Marco holding out longer than most, but in comparison to Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver who seems to still enjoy it or at least being able to fake it, Marco looks like he's simply given up.

>>
>>7060645
I think the realisation that Gordon Ramsey had surpassed him in popularity, overall success and having ten times his net worth made him do it.
Who can blame him though? Ramsey used to be his bitch and basically taught him everything he knows about cooking.
>>
>>7060628

i'm actually really enjoying these videos tbqh.

he's more pleasant to listen to than any other celeb chef.
>>
I do too and there's literally nothing wrong with selling out. It's just that it seems he's not entirely handling his decision well and I just wish he had held out for a better contract. There's better ways to capitalize on your talents and fame without having to do product placement although something tells me that there wasn't much interest in him from other companies than Knorr.
>>
>>7060682
>>7060628
>>7059444

he just started hating the fine dining world and decided selling out and living on the beach while doing occasional corporate work and putting his name on generic restaurants is much more enjoyable.

i mean, he's dead inside, but chefs at least still generally respect him more than gordon ramsay (the insincere bullshit gordon ramsay sells on his reality shows is much more egregious than just shilling a particular kind of stock cube IMO), and he can pay for all the divorces he wants while strutting around acting like the arsehole he always was. i admire him for that.

>>7060888
Regardless of who you think is the better cook, the difference between Ramsey and Marco is that Ramsey was smart about selling out and made sure that whatever he did on tv would create new customers to his restaurants. Marco's association with Knorr is not going to generate a single new customer to his restaurants. In fact, it might even deter people from coming.

If you're going to sell out be smart about it.
>>
>>7060962

i mean i legitimately think marco is such an intimidating motherfucker that he'll suffer the least from shilling so blatantly, impressionable people will genuinely believe that direct application of knorr stock cubes enhances the flavour of pretty much anything. but i do take your point. i just really hate the 'tough but fair' schtick ramsay tries to project because particularly on american tv he just sounds patronising and abusive.
>>
>>7060975
>marco is such an intimidating motherfucker that he'll suffer the least
True, Marco will probably not lose the same amount of respect from other chefs, although he will lose a lot. Marco will however not make anywhere near the amount money Ramsey made from selling out.

>particularly on american tv he just sounds patronising and abusive.
I agree. It's incredibly fake and off-putting. I do however believe that he has made the bulk of his fortune from the very same american audience who can't seem to stop themselves from flooding his restaurants.
>>
It is more or less equivelant to salt, though. Dissolving it in oil and then rubbing your ingredients with the paste just allows for more equal application of the salt to your food. It's not really about some kind of unique flavor in the cube that's absent in salt. I do this sometimes and it's great.

I'd be careful of using networth as a gauge for anything other than how much money you have since Jamie Oliveoil has a greater networth than Gordon selling all those cook books.
>>
>>7061282
From experience living in both the UK and US this really wouldn't surprise me. The American education system fails so badly. It was blatantly obvious after only a few weeks living there.
>>
>>7060628
Someone with the fame and financial success of Ramsay or Oliver is free to explore their passion as they wish. Someone like Marco is a slave to the system, forces to do what he must to get by. For him, it's a job. There is no freedom.
>>
>>7061282
A quick search would reveal this to be a lie.
Good day faggot.
>>
>>7061419
The whole point of selling out is to earn more money so I think bringing up net worth was warranted. Also, I compared Gordon and Marco, Jamie Oliver had nothing to do with my post even though you're probably right about him earning more than the both combined.
>>
>>7061788
It's also "blatantly obvious" your education in the UK failed you
>>
>>7061893

is this just a 'nou' or are you taking issue with the phrase 'blatantly obvious'?
>>
He looks like man who wants to commit suicide but just doesn't have the guts to do it.
>>
>>7061819
But Ramsay and Oliver wasn't rich and free to explore their passions before they sold out and started to earn some real money. Now they do, they will never have to work another day in their lives and neither will their kids. Marco could have made the same choice and market himself and his business by letting cameras film his kitchen for a month, but he didn't.
>>
>>7061922

yes he did.

all you faggots comparing him to gordon ramsay unfavourably are such plebs. he had successful tv shows and was the youngest dude to get 3 stars. he did very well. and he makes more money from the corporate work he does than you probably think. he's rich. stop being so heavily influenced by TV.
>>
>>7061933
Estimated net worths. They vary a bit of course, but not much.

1. Jamie Oliver $235 million
2. Gordon Ramsay $118 million
3. Marco Pierre White $40 million
>>
>>7061933
>>7061961
I never claimed that Ramsay was the better cook, because he's clearly not.
While $40 million is more money than anybody needs, he's now as much of a sellout as Ramsay and Oliver, maybe even more of a sellout, and he still didn't make the same amount of money.
>>
>>7060628

>>
>>7062783
How is Ramsay insincere? Often he's the most sincere person on his shows. Look at masterchef, some fat cunt with stupid glasses who is more of a businessman than a chef and some pretentious bald pleb. Ramsay's fame originally comes from his UK shows which are actually interesting, blame american production for the way the rest of his shows turned out.

Then you have Marco, who seems to have given up on good cooking completely in favour of some cash.

In short, watch Marco, get depressed and worse at cooking. Watch Ramsay, get entertained and better at cooking.
