I have never eaten curry but I would like to try it out. I have seen a lot of recipes but since I have no basic knowledge of what it tastes like I don't know which one to make.
Do you guys have any recipes for a basic can't-go-wrong curry? Also my parents are gonna eat it too and my dad is a customed to the wonderful world of Dutch cuisine (read, salt and pepper are the only spices he knows) so nothing extremely hot.
I have a food processor and lots of herbs.

For indian style curries, butter chicken is friendly.
This one is easy to make

I have the following spices on hand: curry powder, turmeric, corriander, ginger
I mix and match them variously depending on what I feel like
cant go wrong with those spices.

Most of the curry house favourites are primarily a shitload of onion, ginger and garlic, tomatoes and garam masala (which is just a mix of spices).
I'd say per portion, an onion, a thumb of ginger, half a dozen garlic cloves and a handful of tomatoes. Fry the onions hard until they're properly dark, throw the other stuff in and fry it more, add your spice mix and meat and fry it more, cover the whole thing and water and cook it for like two hours.

Kun je ook gewoon zelf zo'n masala zelf maken?
Here's a questionable infographic, but you might find it useful.
I'd quadruple the amounts of spices.

And how does any combination of those equal a curry or are you just shitposting?

Do you not have an overhead kitchen fan? It should be as simple as setting it to high to catch all the scents. Alternatively you could try and add some other scents to make it smell nice though that's not necessarily the best idea.
If you are going that route add cinnamon, saffron(If you can afford it), cumin seeds(Usually to basmati rice), coriander and its seeds, possibly a star anise, and mint. Mix that up by adding or subtracting things but usually you'll get something that smells like heaven(Or hell if you did it wrong)
Eat a lot of veggies and fruit and spices
Shit onto a plate
Serve with rice
why the fuck do they rip up lettuce on top of it? It's not like the lettuce adds to anything.
