i think the most pleb fucking beer related thing thats happened to me happened at a bar called the Satellite in silver lake Los Angeles.
I order a double ipa by angel city(which is a shitty brewery but its the only decent ipa they had).
so it was $8. ok fine everything seems normal. I get my glass and the bartender served me it in a whiskey glass. I look around and see that everyone else drinking beer has a pint glass. Im confused why i have a glass that holds half the amount of beer while still paying full price. so I ask the bartender that.
she responds by saying "because thats a double"
I just stand there dumbfounded staring at her. I honestly cant believe the idiotic thing I had just heard. It was loud and I didnt feel like explaining to this dumb bitch why she sounded so stupid. so I told her to give me a bigger cup because she was mistaking. She tries to charge me extra so I ask for the manager and she just gives in because its busy and gives me a bigger cup and more beer. I then ask her how she even got this job.

Virtually every bar that serves decent beer has a few beers that they serve in smaller sizes these days, usually in a tulip/snifter.
