Hey lads, German-English Anon here:
I'm sending a parcel of presents to the German half of my family in Hanover, what are some good English food and drink I can include?
Here's what I've got currently
>Cadbury
>M&S Jam jars
>Cider Aspall
>Jammy dodgers
Obviously the food has to have a long best-eaten-before date and not be too fragile.

This!
Crumpets
Yorkshire puds
Pork scratchings
Black pudding
Scampi fries
Cornish pasty. Although some people on here claim pasties made in Yorkshire are better but I've yet to try one.
Spend the rest of your budget buying as much of Gregg's as you can.
Mince pies

Would recommend. I love mince pies - made a batch a little while back and I'm going to make some more in the next couple of days.
Might be best just to send a jar of mincemeat and then they can just make the pastry and assemble them in Germany. Then you don't have to worry about the best before date.

Send them a Stargazy Pie, imagine opening up a box and seeing some fish heads staring up at you? Good times ensue.
