Bud and Miller are quite popular here but obviously you get them. You can get Guinness pretty much anywhere too, but it isn't awful. The Foreign Extra stuff is actually quite nice.
As far as mass produced "ale" goes, we have shit like MacEwens, John Smiths, Hobgoblin, Badger Tangle Foot, Old Speckled Hen etc.
Some of them are actually pretty good, all of the above is pretty cheap as well.
