My parents owned a bar in my hometown. When we moved, they sold it to a British couple and it became a pub called 'The Mooring' (because when we owned it, it was called 'Bar Darsena' which means 'Mooring Bar'). Dunno if it's any good, but that's that.
Where I live now, there is just about zero British presence at all. I ordered 'fish and chips' here once. The fish wasn't so bad, but it was served with US chips IE crisps. And they were burnt.
I don't know a whole lot about British cuisine, but I do like coronation chicken, cockieleekie and a proper fish and chips.

I complained, had the meal comped, and didn't ask for a new side dish to go with it. I just ate my fish and the salad (instead of mushy peas...) then got some "boardwalk fries" out elsewhere whilst wondering about. They're like the bastard child of American fries and British chips: cut in thickness somewhere between the two and served with vinegar, but not battered. They're also dusted with some sort of flavoured salt rather than plain. Pretty good and would recommend.
