ITT: good unitaskers
wastes half the pine apple
once upon a time I was at a street fair and saw people walking around drinking out of pineapples
aw man I have to get in on that shit
I found the stand and they had those big long colorful tube glasses, or pineapples. obviously I Went with the pinapple
then to my disappointment after a couple of sips I learn it wasnt a fully hollowed out fruit, they had barely scooped the surface out so I had maybe 8 oz of liquid and more than 3/4 of solid pineapple left over
to prove a point to myself I angrily stood there on the street corner and ripped it apart with my teeth and hands like a filthy savage and ate the entire thing. There was juice and pulp all over my face and shirt, people kept walking by and staring at me like I was crazy.
kinda ruined my whole day

They work really, really well. I cook a lot, have good knife skills, etc. but find this pretty indispensable. You can evenly mince 3 cloves of garlic in just seconds. As far as I'm concerned, you use the knife and cutting board you were already using if you're just doing a few cloves of garlic, or just blitz it in the food processor if you're doing a shit ton.
A garlic press always seemed like more work overall than just using your knife, but I like simple things with no moving parts.
I like how they show how easy it is to clean in the promo video, but can't for the life of me understand why they would suggest giving it it's own entire section of the silverware drawer, right at the front. One of the nice things about it seems to be how low profile it is compared to a traditional garlic press.
They also should have hired a professional hand model.
>>7390774

>>7391026
We've all met them, they generally go into government jobs or run for some political office.
>>7391020
>it's best done with a bic
Well that is generally the only brand to buy.
If I don't have a lighter on me I'll use another, unopened bottle of beer the same way, or the edge of a counter. There are dozens of simple ways to open a bottle, and anyone who needs to get out a can opener to do it is retarded.
>>7391036
I suppose they've got to do something...
>>7390531
And I can open up a can of soup if I slam it in my car door in the right way with the right amount of force...
What's your point? Just because something can be used to accomplish a task, doesn't mean it's the most efficient way or they way it's supposed to be accomplished. And if there's already a device out there like, say knife or scissors, that's more adept to get into a plastic package it means a can opener is already a different, superfluous, less-efficient other tool you CAN use. I could open that package with a claw hammer. Doesn't redefine the claws of the hammer as anything other than a prying device that is primarily used to pull nails...

Nope, after you find out the "uncut" white you bought is actually cut to 97% you black bag your splitter and 2 of his rooks. You have to start off by letting them know this isn't a simple power push or covering our tracks/bases move. With all 3 knotted down in chairs and facing each other grab your big betty the sledge heady. Mine's is usually a giant pipe wrench because it's intimidating, even though the ergonomics are very wrong for swinging. Start off by slowly working from the ankles up, taking your time between swings. The key to this is pacing, you don't want timing to be repetitive, and you don't want it to be too long. 2 back to back on each elbow always scares them, but you want to leave since where it seems like you're thinking. Eventually you get to the head and finish him off. Explain the situation to the other two. That's where the waffle iron comes into play. Eventually lead into using it on hand and feet. Then with a pair of channel locks and dedication grab the base of the dick, and hold it in place for the iron. Not a unitasker, but can be used to make unics
>>7391314

This is actually a very shitty tool and a very wasteful tool.
If you have a sharp carving knife and just cut out all the pits. You'd preserve a lot of very sweet flesh.
The flesh closest to the surface of the peel and around the pits are the most flavorful and sweet.
Been to several asian countries where the vendor, sometimes free sometimes for a small fee, will carve the pineapple for you. They just take out the pit and skin the fruit without cutting out all that juicy goodness.
The flavor ... omg... fucking so good.
Anyways
TLDR, learn to do some work and get a real pineapple, not just the fucking core.

Crushing vs cutting produces different levels of flavor. Crushing the clove releases the oil more than simply chopping it or throwing it in whole. The press does a good job of crushing it (though I crush my cloves and mince, personally). I don't like the amount of the clove that gets leftover in the top part of the press. If I need a handful of garlic cloves I'll use the press, but one or two I'll get with the knife to avoid cleaning the press.

A garlic press is much faster than a knife because you can press the clove in the skin. You can finish an entire bulb before someone with a knife can finish mincing a clove. If I need coarse garlic I'll chop it with a knife but for most things a press is faster even with cleaning time.
>>7391790
