Hey cu/ck/s,
What's the deal with smokers? What are some good ones?
Should you build your own? Is it hard to regulate the temperature?
etc etc
This is my favorite
I own the 22" Weber Smokey Mountain. It has never failed me.
It's important to ignore the autists who overthink and overplan everything. They may (MAY) have marginally better results than someone who just reads a quickstart guide and wings it, but that's it.
I live in the South and I had high expectations. I thought I'd never be able to get anywhere close to what the pros are producing. Then I gave it a spin and was astounded. Anybody with a brain can do this. ANYBODY.
Keep in mind people have been doing this shit for thousands of years. You can't really fuck it up unless you're that faggot youtuber Jack (who has demonstrated repeatedly to not have a working brain).

I have a brinkmann smoker that I caught on sale for $20. Its stock and really you don't need to mod it like a 100 autist will tell you. It does need a better temperature gauge.
Im smoking a brisket point right now. Going to make brunt ends
Traeger actually makes a really fantastic ones. Most BBQ manufacturers make bullshit smokers that work about as well as anything you make yourself, but as a former Ace hardware employee, using Traegar wood pellets, you can smoke the shit out of beer can chicken, steak, shrimp kebabs, boigahs, turkey, and all kinds of stuff using Traegar smokers without much effort.

You're right, lol
i usually have a thing against commercial bbqing equipment. where im from everyone thats serious about bbqing has a pit made out of heavy duty pipe. anything you find at walmart/academy just feels too flimsy. but recently i found a brinkman smoker at walmart for about $50. after a few modifications its actually pretty decent. i've smoked a few 15 hour session briskets and they came out pretty good
I like my knock off green egg, chargriller Akorn.
I can use it as a grill, smoker or oven.
There's a show on PBS called Project Smoke that you may find helpful. Everything the guy makes looks delicious.
