What's the best from scratch Bloody Mary recipe?
>>
>>7709428
My alcoholic grandmother made them the best. Don't know her exact recipe.

My pleb recipe:

>Mrs. T's or V8 tomato juice
>Vodka
>Splash of Tabasco
>Omit worsterschire sauce
>1/2 teaspoon horse radish (or to taste)
>Celery salt

Garnish with green olives on a tooth pick.

Wisconsin where I live now is weird. They also garnish with sausage and cheese curds often.

>>7709428
good vodka (the worse it is, the more you taste the booze)
mixer
hot sauce
worchestershire
citrus (lemon/lime)

The real part is the garnish. PIckled asparagus, garnish, beef sticks, pearl onions, pickled garlic. Put most of those in first to flavor the drink.

Yes, you could use straight tomato juice and then season it, but it really won't make it much better in the end other than stroking your ego.

Looks like 'cago 'za to me.
>>
>>7709428
>vodka
>Clamato
>cocktail sauce
>bag of mixed seafood

boil seafood first, and then refrigerate. combine other ingredients after, and maybe add some onion and guacamole for taste.

eat/ drink your alcoholic seafood cocktail.
Preferably, you can substitute seafood mix for the individual seafood you want, like shrimp, squid, and scallops.

>Clamato

Clam juice/tomato juice, not at all. All though I understand it makes sense for your recipe because it includes a lot of sea food.

Fancy expensive tomato juice, cheap vodka.

One thing I used to love doing on a slow shift is, when someone orders a bloody mary, pour it into the tallest glass I have and just keep stuffing it with any garnishments I can find.

>celery
>carrot sticks
>onion on giant pick
>bouillon cube on pick
>wad of uncut cilantro
>candy cane still in wrapper
>toy shark

Wow, a 'go 'za that comes with a 'al 'an 'za.

Something in the spirit of a Bloody Mary, but not quite a Bloody Mary okay? Because mine is obviously inspired by it, but not really all that close to it. It's spicy and I've named it Báthory Bubble Bath, since Lizzie Báthory was Hungarian and Hungarian food is spicy. It's more like a spicy, dirty vodka martini less vermouth, plus tomato juice (especially because I serve it in martini glasses). There's no horseradish because I fucking hate horseradish, but I add hot sauce instead.

Anyway, the recipe is:

large jar of olives
cocktail skewers
half a bottle of spicy v8
a fifth of vodka, preferably chili-infused, like Absolut Peppar
beef stock powder to taste, preferably Hispanic Maggi
hot sauce to taste
lemons, to rim glasses
celery salt, to rim glasses

Drain the olive jar of its brine into the pitcher.
Skewer the olives and set aside on a plate.
Add spicy v8 and vodka to the pitcher.
Add beef stock powder and hot sauce to taste.
Set out lemon wedges in a bowl and celery salt in another one.

To serve, rim a martini glass with a lemon wedge, rim with celery salt and place a skewer or two of olives, then top off with vodka/tomato mixture.

>fill 1/3 of frozen longdrink glass with white tequila from the freezer
>add five or six dashes of Tabasco Chipotle
>juice of half a lemon
>dash of tamari
>dash of thick balsamic vinegar
>handful of icecubes
>fill remainder of glass with chilled tomato juice
>add some freshly ground black pepper
>drink

Someone posted this recipe a while back. I tried it and it was meh. I like them thicker.

>1:4:8
>lemon juice:
>Peppar:
>Spicy V8,
>shaken with a splash each of cocktail olive juice, Worcestershire and Claussen pickle brine,
>poured into a high ball rimmed with a mixture of powdered celery seed, salt and black pepper (2:2:1 respectively)
>garnished with a Claussen spear (or pickle chip on the rim) and celery stalk in the glass and lemon slice on the rim.

I once went to an Indian lounge in Davis Sq Somerville and this stupid Russian made me a bloody Mary with ketchup.
>>
>>7711556
True?
>>
>>7711567
Very true. Place was called the Diva Lounge
>>
>>7711597
Well you said Indian lady made it. Sometimes they are truly lost.

Next time just tell her how to make it.

Then fuck her, right in the puss.
>>
>>7711625
Thanks Pajeet, I appreciate the advise. However, it was a Russian that made it.
