I live next to a Sonic and I want to try the new chicken sandwich from the commercial. I have never been alone though. All the people that bring you food are young girls on rollerskates, looking at them is probably against state law and I wish they would just do away with their failed food delivery system. I really want to have this sandwich but that means I have to clean out my whole car, talk to an illegal female, and leave her a tip just for making me feel horrible. I cannot think of a worse food delivery system, I may make a point of not tipping her out of spite.

The /r9ck/ is strong with this one.

I used to walk home from school and there was a sonics in between, I would always stop by and buy atleast something to drink... I've seen so many employees fall while rollerblading.

I've been on 4chan for over a decade but this kind of shit still perplexes me.
Have you tried Turkish coffee cu/ck/s?
It's not the coffee that's any different, it's the brewing approach.
Turkish coffee is simply ANY coffee that is ground to a fine powder, placed in a container with water, and heated just below the point of boiling until a layer of crema / foam develops on the top, where it is then poured into a cup. The end result is a coffee that has almost the same kind of flavor and texture that a proper machine espresso has, but without the need of having a machine.
The only downsides to this approach is that you...

I've never tried it. But you make it sound pretty good.
By a fine powder do you mean as fine as possible? I have a spice grinder and a food processor.
>>7163107
Can't you pour it into the cup through a strainer ?
What's your favorite bread
rye
bread is shit to be honest

What is your favorite hangover meal, /ck/?
I just had an olive/artichoke panini, clam chowder, milk, and black coffee.
Miso soup and iced tea.
I don't understand the desire for heavy/greasy food when hungover. If I eat anything like that I feel like I'm going to hurl.
>>7163024
Fried bologna, hot dog, egg and cheese sandwich and/or gravy with fries.
I don't really get hungover but greasy ass comfort food the morning after helps me sort myself out.
>>7163024
Canned corned beef hash, toast, and eggs sunny side up. Mainly because it's easy, because I don't usually feel like cooking when hung over.
What do you think of these home fries, /ck/?
>>7163009
what's that white goop? also, they are way underdone and are therefore potatoes and not fries.
The jizz looks pretty good and thick but the potatoes look a little gross.
Not made at home
Potato has rotten from inside. If I cut the rotten part awat and eat the rest, will I shit myself to death tomorrow, or be fine?
>>7163006
Try it and report back. Can you not afford a replacement potato? Is it still under warranty? Can you take it back to the market for an exchange?
I don't know about eating it, but if you've got multiple potatoes you ought to check them out, as rotten potatoes produce toxic gas.
>>7163006
you'll be fine but only if you are pure of heart.
What are some good uses for gjetost/ brunost? I enjoy gjetost a lot but am getting bored of my usual combination with strawberry jam. Any good authentic recipes/ pairings from any Nordic co/ck/s appreciated.
come on it's not that bad
I just slice it thinly and eat it alone atop rye crispbread. It also goes well with apples and pears.
>>7162967
Nigga, get some crispbread with a slight sprinkling of sugar and cinnamon. Slap some of that delish brown cheese on top.
Why is cheese so expensive?
>>7162907
Because it takes a lot of steps and takes a long ass time to produce. Its not like other produces where you just need the ingredients and bam, you got what you want. Cheese has to age
Fat has over twice the calories than other macros. Calories are literally energy. Energy in -> energy out. It takes more energy to produce cheeses.
>>7162907
It's not. You're paying for convenience. Homemade cheese is far superior to the industrial soulless cheese you grab at the local grocers in haste.
>>7162913
Wrong. Cheese is easy to make at home, all it takes is effort and time. Two things Americans no longer appreciate.

Kill yourself.
Who wants to join my on my doomed moussaka adventure?
Eggplants are half peeled, salted, and being pressed in a colander for an hour. In the meantime, getting some potats boiling and starting the meat sauce
This my have been the shittiest photo I've ever taken, and I realize that I'm going straight to hell
Alright, we've got ground beef, pork, and veil browning. Fine dice the onions, chop the parsley.
Other things out here are cinnamon, allspice, red wine, tomato paste, crush tomato, sugar, garlic
What is so special about spam, the brand of canned meat?
They are usually $15/kg at my supermarkets, they had a 50% sale on them recently so i bought the "With real bacon", turkey and less sodium versions.
The real bacon version is REALLY salty and tastes worse than the cheap chinese luncheon meat i usually buy. The turkey one is really good though.
But theres no way this stuff is worth $15/kg when i can get fresh meat for a lot less and throw it in the freezer.
>>7162635
So you bought 3 shitty versions of spam and the original good spam? Yeah it's salty but you adjust your seasoning elsewhere in the cooking process
Hawaii fag here.
If Spam needs to be imported and sold at luxury item price points it's not worth buying.
I'll buy Spam if it's on sale, but the only preparation I've ever really enjoyed was musubi, where the saltiness of the Spam is balanced by a huge loaf of white rice.
>it's actually really good, and easy to prepare
>>7162635
>But theres no way this stuff is worth $15/kg when i can get fresh meat for a lot less and throw it in the freezer.
Emergency rations. It lasts for a couple of years in the pantry in case of Hurricane or some castastrophe. Hence, it because a staple in families who lived on islands. Believe it or not, hams and bacon are quite perishable. Canning was the de facto "way to go" for preserved meat, that and vienna sausages, air-dried beef (armour) and canned corned beef hash. If...

The ketchup pump at McDonalds sprayed ketchup on my $500 shirt. And to make matters worse, the manager threatened to call the police on me when I asked for compensation.
What's the best way to get justice? I was thinking of an open letter to the president of McDonalds and sending a copy to the Cincinnati Enquirer for publication. The last thing they want is bad PR.

I'm the Yves Saint Laurent shirt guy, I sued a 7th day adventist church once as well, successfully.
Ok, we have some ground pork sizzling away in the pan.
Let's go!
The meats cooked, lay on a slice of extra mature cheddar (none of that Kraft nonsense) and wrap in foil.
You see where we're going with this?

Straight into the trash?
I got really into fish and started eating it everyday. I'm 25 and after a few months of doing that, I look drastically younger. Will I go back to how I looked before if I stop eating as much fish?
wait, you're saying fish changed your eyesight?
Omega-3s reduce oxidative stress on your body so I guess I can see why that would happen.
I don't know if that specific thing will happen, but Atlantic salmon is cheap, delicious, and healthy, so why stop?

/ck/ what's a good store bought mustard?
It's my ideal mustard.
I only use mustard for sandwiches, and this is perfect for that. Might not be the best for cooking.
>>7162506
>/ck/ what's a good store bought mustard?
Ahh, really depends what you're looking for, ya know? When they adjust the pH with the vinegar, it "halts" the hotter thing, so it's how it's made and what your recipe wants.
I really adore a hot creole mustard, so if you have access to Zatarains, or a kosher deli equivalent like Batampe, that's ideal for some applications.
I also love a grainy, not too hot, not too acidic mustard like inglehoffer...

I recently watched Angst and wanted something to dip my sausage into.
There was an anon a week ago (maybe two) who was proud of his homemade chili oil. He posted the recipe and I lost it. I was hoping to find it again.
>I feel like a pic related
Wait, it's not just chili and oil? Serious question
>>7162525
???
Any recipe can be as complicated as you want it to be. Especially chili oil, can put any shit you want in there. He said he had perfected his over the course of making it several times, and the pictures looked delicious.

>There was an anon a week ago (maybe two) who was proud of his homemade chili oil. He posted the recipe and I lost it. I was hoping to find it again.
No idea anon.
But, my recipe is damn simple. I take a pot of olive oil, about 1/4inch, pan frying here... Cold oil + rings of ancho chilies, which are sweet but not crazy hot, however full of rich concentrated chili flavor. I slice up the anchoes with scissors actually. Add them to the cold oil, and warm it up, moving the chilies...
