I'm going to see Star Wars tonight. What do I eat before the movie for dinner?
I got my first steak today but I have no idea how to cook it what do /ck/
What the others say, but let me add: Don't expect too much out of a shoulder steak. That's not a primal cut, and it's awfully lean. To me that is stew meat, not really a steak. Cooked like a steak it will be tough and bloody-tasting.
What's your excuse for not having a family recipe book?
You too edgy and internet tough guy to have one?
Or is it that you just can't cook and are too shameful to admit it?
Everyone should have one of these.
I might end up having to help my mom redo her recipe book, have been starting to work on my own but it's in digital form for now until I have enough of them to justify starting on a physical book of my own.
Many of my grandmother's recipes don't work with modern ingredients. The chicken is nowhere near the same as what she got, nor is the pork or bacon. The dairy products are a little different. Even the vegetables aren't quite the same. I can't just go to the supermarket and get the same ingredients grandma used to get. So her recipes generally do not apply.
What is the most delicious breakfast possible?
it's just me and my so for xmas this year but I'm having trouble finding recipes for mains that don't serve 8+ people. all the hams and turkeys in stores are massive. we don't have a huge fridge so heaps of leftovers aren't ideal. how do I do Christmas for two?
Whats the best food to have at a 70+ ppl party?
It's going to get wild this saturday.
Drinks: hunch punch, keg of beer, 2 bottles of wine for the pussies
Food: queso salsa and guac w/ chips, maybe some meatballs or lil smokies, veggie tray w/ hummus an oh yeah pita chips
Depends on how fancy you wanna get. That's the basics though
Defrost some forzen spinach and mix with 1 egg per 180g spinach. Distribute it on a baking sheet, sprinkle with cheese and let it bake for 15 minutes at 200°C. Let it cool down, spread some cream cheese on top and put some thin smolked salmon slices on it. Roll it up, pack it tightly in aluminium foil and leave it in the fridge over night.
Cut into thick slices and serve.
It's filling, tasty and easy to make in large quantaties.
Does this board have any 'sticky type' information or resources? I want to stop being a pleb.
What's the best way to prepare liver and onions for someone that has never eaten it before. I love it but a Close friend is just off put by liver in general, even though the admit they have never tasted it. My grandmom made it for us all the time when I was younger. She made hers smothered in gravy but I don't know how to do that. Thanks.
I usually soak liver in milk, flour/spice dredge the liver, brown liver in bacon grease or butter in both sides , remove, add onions till Carmelized, remove, make pan gravy with drippings, beef broth, and a little flour, return liver and onions to pan and let it all simmer in gravy for a few min until fully cooked, serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Don't over cook. This is the only way I know how to make it.
The way I make it... or rather, would make it for a liver-shy person: soak the liver in milk, salt and pepper, fry in butter on both sides to rose, fry some bacon in the leftover fat, wrap in foil to rest together. Sautee the onions in the long way to sweeten them, and give them a splash of balsamico, and prepare a gravy of roux, smetana, heavy cream, honey, salt and pepper. I prefer to serve them separately with rösti and grated raw apple, but for a very liver-shy person, burying the liver in the gravy and smothering them to well-done may help. This all depends on how fussy...

I had a roommate that would always get grossed out when i made liver and onions. I introduced him to liver with fried chicken liver from a nearby fast food chicken place. He liked them dipped in white gravy and also with ketchup. The next time I made beef liver and onions he ate some and now he loves it.
How many more days til Shitpotle goes out of business
Went there yesterday, first time in a few months. I stopped going because the line is usually out the door at the one next to work.
Only 4 people in line yesterday, at peak lunch hour in a busy part of DC. Only reason I went was because they were handing out buy one get one free cards. Even the gay ass music they play was a little quieter than normal.
>I'd like a bourbon please
>"Uhh like what kind? Jack Daniel's?"
JD isn't bourbon you cunts
>just a hint of sweetness
And I can't fucking stand it, makes me gag
Anyone have something like this? Something you'd think you'd love, but you try it and it's revolting?
tomatoes for me. i love every tomato product, and i love acidic stuff so i always think i'll like tomatoes but every time i try to eat one on a sandwich or in salads i have to just take all the tomatoes out because i can't stand the taste/texture.
Guess what I made today?
Is there any truth in the South Park about Yelp? I don't work in a restaurant or pay any attention to Yelp. Do reviewers actually introduce themselves?
The problem with yelp is that when people have average or decent experience, they dont bother reviewing the place. But the faggots who wanna throw a tantrum are the first to log in and post about it. So, yeah.
You've been chosen to appear on The Great Food Truck Race. What's your truck name and type of food?
Is this a meme now?
