How the fuck do I make ground chicken not taste like cardboard WITHOUT salt?
I've tried onion, I've tried garlic, I've tried pepper, nothing works.
Do I need to marinade this shit for like 24 hours or what? I have so much chicken AND IT TASTES SO FUCKING BLAND.
Add salt. Also lots of herbs and spices.
Paprika.
>>7179748
Marinades definitely, or rubs. Ground chicken is the devil.
Just made some salsa, and it's a little too thin and not enough kick for my liking. What should I add to it?
All I have in it right now is cilantro, garlic powder, some chopped radishes, frozen jalapenos, and some lime juice
Maybe chop up some tomatoes and add those.
>>7179658
I already have plenty of tomatoes in there, I just didn't mention it because I felt it was obvious
onion duh
>no hot sauce thread
>there needs to be the same hot sauce thread, repeated forever, 24/7, with the same walmart shoppers arguing over the same crap

Basically this, theres a few types that work well in different dishes with a few brand variations within those types. The market is flooded right now but you're really not going to get much that much difference. Its either going to be edible and taste like an established brand or its just going to be ridiculously hot to get the "I want to go viral" youtube crowd

I love hot taste
Is Portuguese food vegetarian friendly?
Me and my girlfriend are planning on going there next summer, but she's veggie and from what I've gathered there's a lot of fish based dishes but not much in the way of stuff suitable for vegetarians like other Mediterranean countries such as Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey.
Or is it okay for vegetarians as long as they have tapas (or whatever the Portuguese equivalent is)?
I'm a vegetarian 98% of the time. But I suspend my eating disorder when I go to a nice restaurant or travel to a foreign country. It just seems like a really bad idea to be picky when you are trying to experience something new. Consider killing your girlfriend.
>>7179379
The thing is, I've been to Greece where even I've disregarded my meat eating in favour of awesome vegetarian dishes like saganaki, spanakopita or moussaka. But it just seems like all there is to eat in Portuguese restaurants is fish.

Hello /ck/, this is my first time on this board.
I would really appreciate any tips for weight gain fitness diet. I'm a skinny guy starting with fitness and i want to eat like a beast a couple times a day.

the reason i posted here instead on fit is that you guys are good with cooking, /fit/ guys only know about weight lifting and protein shakes, not so much about weigh gaining food recipes.
Tell me, di/ck/s..
Does canned food really expire on the printed expiration date? Is this just a myth?
I only ask because I have a can of soup in front of me that expired in July. It was stored in a cabinet above the oven and the bottom is a little rusty. Will this make me sick? My stomach hurts so badly I've been rummaging through the roommates cupboards looking for expired things they don't want. Not trying to steal anything that they are going to eat.
>>7179252
It's probably fine. Canned food has a much longer shelf life than is printed on the can. Eventually the food will start to lose nutrients, similar to how vitamin pills lose efficacy over time.
The rust is a bit worrying, but as long as it hasn't actually eaten a hole in the can, you should be fine. Look inside the can after you dump out the contents, if there is a worrying amount of rust, toss it.
If the food doesn't smell bad, it's probably fine.
If you get the screaming shits,...

Really expiration dates are just indicators to how old it is
Fro a legal point of view its easier to say this shit is gonna fuck you up way before it actually goes bad so there'll be a large buffer zone of when its still good and when its gonna rot your guts out, to minimize the risk of a lawsuit as much as possible
