How do vegetarians justify eating mushrooms?
Mushrooms are most certainly not plants...the mycelium is more like a giant organism and the fruiting bodies are it's reproductive tendrils.
>>7196510
Vegetarians can't justify anything. That's why they're women.
>>7196510
Phylogenetically they're more closely related to animals than plants.
Further, they exhibit greater degrees if sentience than mollusks.
That said, picking a mushroom does not harm the mycelium. It's basically like picking an apple from a tree.

>Further, they exhibit greater degrees if sentience than mollusks.
Wrong. Something is either sentient, or it is not. There is no grey area.
Why do some alcoholics develop cirrhosis of the liver and others don't? Why do some who drink themselves into oblivion live to be 100 and some who just casually drink have liver failure, what's up with that /ck/.
Also how can you drink regularly and best fight any onset of liver problems in the future?
>>7206432
Genetics. Are you retarded or just drunk? I'm just drunk, yet, not retarded. Thank God.
>>7206432
Eventually your liver WILL give up. I drank about a fifth of liquor every day for a decade before mine started going bad. Once it starts shutting down you'll be able to tell something is wrong. My eyes and skin turned yellow and my piss was always super dark no matter how much water I drank. I usually puked up the first few shots I took and didn't feel normal until I got a bit of a buzz going.
Instead of stopping when I just drank more and eventually stopped breathing. I spent about a week hooked up...

How thirsty were you when you got out
So this is a picture of an old fashioned in an old fashioned glass. But whenever I search for recipes and make them, i end up with only a tiny amount of drink. Even if I add a bunch of ice it still only fills about half the glass.
So what gives? This happens with practically every cocktail I try to make
>>7207552
Uh, make a double? Are you retarded by chance?
>>7207558
But I ordered one at a bar once and didn't ask for a double and it was a full glass too. Is that normal?
glasses have gotten bigger. tge classic rocks glass was 5-6 oz, now its 8-10. same with the highball and martini glasses, look at old movies then compare to todays monstrosities
Eating this. Does it look appetizing? Got these bowls for Christmas.
>>7207547
I just don't get carbs with a side of carbs. Get some broccoli in there
>>7207550
It's a texture thing I guess for me.
>>7207553
I can texture your butt with my tongue if you want.
/ck/ needs a little south in the mouth
You can replace the shitty rolls and mac-n-cheese some actual vegetables and we'd have a real party going.
>>7207159
That looks a little depressing.
Is that from Golden Corral?
>>7207159
My wife asked me to cook Christmas dinner. She wanted a stuffed roast chicken.
I asked her what sides, and she listed the ones in that picture. I asked, "Don't you want some vegetables?" and she replied, "OK, how about a can of green beans?"
We ordered Chinese food. Gonna give her some divorce papers soon.
>oh, son, you're home! I was just heading out to pick up some takeout for your mom and I. what would you like from Denny's?
>>7207147
A grand slamwich if you don't mind dad, thanks.
I really don't know what Dennys does outside of breakfast food..
Are they a burger place or more like a Bob Evans?
Nothing. I just came to pick up a book.
What's your go-to store bought, sliced bread?
Milton's original here.
>>7206736
Wonderbread or a generic version thereof.
I'm not a special snowflake.
>>7206736
Dave's Killer Bread. The wheat kind, I forget the exact name of it. I don't buy bread often but I like that one.
>>7206741
>buys wonderbread or even searches out a generic version
>doesn't think of himself as a hipster
>IPA
Fuck off.
Depends on the IPA really.

Does anyone else hate the obligation of having to eat shitty Christmas cookies?
>at work, someone brought in these damn things
>get asked if I want one, refuse
>little while later, asked again, refuse again
>"but you just HAVE to have one, it's Christmas!"
>"no thanks"
>they press the issue and physically put one in my hand
It's like Jesus...

why didn't you just take it and not eat it?
Just say you don't like sweet shit.
How do adults get pressured into eating things other than at meals they were invited to?

One cookie isn't gonna ruin your gains retard. Unless you're a lazy skinny fuck like myself, then just tell them you're allergic
Can you microwave bacon?
If you have to. Say the power is out because of a blizzard and all you have is an emergency generator that you can plug the microwave into.
By far, my preferred way to cook bacon is in the oven. About 15 minutes at 350 degrees should do it.

>no hot sauce thread
I have a creamy white sauce for you OP.
Are you just going to keep an eternal hot sauce thread going without actually contributing anything yourself, OP?
You started the same thread last time the old one died.
My parents gave me this set of hot sauces for Christmas. I opened them up and tasted a few. Fucking all of them taste like pure vinegar buffalo chicken bullshit. Even the "teriyaki" sauce tastes no different. I love spicy foods, but can't seem to find any good hot sauces that aren't just pure vinegar garbage.
If it tastes like buffalo wing sauce, I'll hate it. Any suggestions?
>putting a hot dog in the microwave
>eating a hot dog
Just get a proper sausage you lazy fuck
>making this shit thread again
sage
>eating hotdogs at all
Bet you've never put one in for 30 minutes.
I have.
It turned to charcoal. Surprise.

Hi guise, I'm a pathetic NEET and I need to learn to cook, to cut down on expenses. But the only thing I've cooked before is basically macaronies and meatballs, so I'm looking for some simple, delicious meals.
Going to try to and make some meatball subs tonight, looks delicious!
Looks good, also seems like an easy thing to make.
>>7206015
Good tip, will experiment with different spices, and I think I have some ideas!
