Hey, /ck/ never really been here. Don't know if this fits, but what is your favorite thing to do to a traditional dish.
>Ex: Adding cut up Hot Dogs to Mac & Cheese (shittiest example ever)

you must consult the official /ck/ bible of cooking before asking such a question.

Hey guys, I was the anon who did the ja/ck/ chimichangas awhile ago.
While I've been super busy, I haven't had time to make another ja/ck/ recipe. However, I had the day off and decided to share my breakfast with you guys.
I made oeuf en coccotte with smoked salmon that i had leftover from a Christmas snacking plate.
Anyway, here's the mise en place
Smoked salmon
one egg
lemon vin
one thick slice of brioche
pickled red onions (pickled with apple cider vin, star anise, garlic, peppercorns and chile de arbol)
microgreens...

Butter the ramekin picture in the OP (for some reason I didn't list it) and add chopped rosemary to the butter. So it looks like this, then crack the egg and add the egg to do the ramekin

So, you need water to be damn near boiling at this point in a pan like pictured. Once the water is going, drop your brioche into your toaster.
At this point in the recipe you need to pay attention very well because it will move somewhat fast.
Put the ramekin in the water. The water should really only be high enough to reach a little bit up the side of the ramekin. You NEED to cover the pan with a lid so the steam can cook the egg. For an uncooked yolk, this should take between 3-4 minutes. But you'll...

While the egg is cooking, and your brioche pops, spread sour cream on your brioche toast. I like this instead of butter because of the creaminess and the touch of acidity it has. At this point, I put my pickled onions on the toast.
What do YOU know about good fruit punch?
It gets the women fucked up at the parties i go to.
Thats about it.
I had an orange punch me once

So the more that I cook, the more I've realized how shitty the microwave is at reheating your food. Most foods are just much better if you reheat them on the stove or in the oven.
However some foods aren't really affected so you get the speed without a compromise on taste.
>Most luke warm food cooked that day
>Nearly all soups
>Melting butter
>Plain pasta and rice are acceptable quality
Any other foods that aren't made shitty by heating in the microwave?

My wife's son prefers his pizza rolls cooked in the microwave

Its good for parcooking root vegetables much faster then getting a pot of water boiling and parboiling them.

Speaking of veggies, frozen corn heated up in the microwave taste the same as when its prepared any other way.

I don't have food allergies because I'm not genetically inferior.

So Im trying to create an incredibly healthy thing to bring to work with me. I've been using the food pyramid as a guideline, but have a shitton of questions and fear that the pyramid might not be the end all be all. Mostly I've been eating dark greens (spinach, kale, mustard greens, turnip greens are now every day foods), corn, quinoa, tomato, jalapeno, peas, beans, and brown rice. Is this healthy or not?
1) Fruits vs Veggies. Does it really matter? I dislike sweet stuff, so I've been essentially using bell peppers and a shitton of jalapenos. Does this totally matter if I eat a shitton of vegetables a days with a multivitamin? Or should i throw a banana in there too?
2) Do I really need that much fucking dairy in my diet? I love me some cheese, but i understand that it's probably not fantastic for me and hold off on it. Is me not eating cheese really that unhealthy?
3) holy fuck do i need that many grains? I eat 1/4 cup (uncooked) brown rice and the same in quinoa every day. do i need to up that or can i just eat more veggies.
4) Peas, Beans, and Meat. Are they all the same food group? Does it particularly matter that i eat peas, beans, and some chicken/albacore with every meal or no?
5) fish vs chicken. Everything i read says to keep fish eating to a minimum due to mercury concerns. is this only true for stuff like tuna or should i really only keep my serving of albacore a day split into a weeks serving?
6) is it worth adding a serving of tempeh/tofu to my food every day? Would it be a serving of meat or vegetables?
sorry for all the weird questions, but all the places i look it up have vague/contradicting answers.
tldr: healithiest foods you can eat every day? Are vegies = fruits nutrient wise? Can beans/peas = meat?
For the record my current take to work food is:
90g Brown Rice
100g Broccoli
75g Kimchi
110g Bell Peppers
90g Jalapenos
55g Kale
85g Quinoa
100g Turnip Greens
80g Chicken
50g Mackerel
200g Beans
90g Corn
80g Brussel Sprouts
90g Peas
100g Mustard Greens
100g Spinach
>>7214225
On paper that's not enough dairy, fruits, or meat. Is that really THAT much of an issue if i take a multivitamin? Or should I really add some cheese and dates up in this bitch.
You have issues if you're this obsessed with portions and nutrients. Get help.
I'll just leave this here

For many years I legitimately believed that Carbonara wasn't a real thing and was just a fake food The Sims made up.
