I love pepper. Will putting pepper on everything affect my health?
>>7248797
Yes
>>7248797
Maybe.
I ate an entire bowl of this. Like over a pound of it.
>>7248784

Why doesn't /ck/ like pizza?
It's delicious.
>>7248774
Call them what you want. All three of those are fucking delicious in their own right.
>>7248774
You can call it a fucking football, I don't care about stupid shit like that. If it tastes good then I'll eat it.
>>7248774
>calling the Greek pastry Plakous with tomato a "pizza"
Hey /ck/ i want to impress my new girlfriend with a home cooked meal that wont require techniques and specialty ingredients from temples in the Himalayan mountains. What are some good recipes?
Fuck off...
>>7248698

Does anyone here use cast iron teapots? Do you use them as kettles? Brewing teapots?
>>7248662
> inb4 epic le cast iron meehm desu senpai
I don't think cast iron is a very good material for teapots though. It's nice for cookware (in my opinion), but it doesn't have real benefits (except for aesthetics I suppose) in teapots.
Clay is a nice material for teapots.
But glass is fine too. I like being able to see how the tea is steeping inside the pot.
Also, kettles are a waste of time/gas. Just get an electric water boiler (with temperature control...

They retain both flavour and heat, which are both beneficial to tea brewing.
But it is pointless to use one of these for heating water.
>>7248717
Clay has the same flavor retention abilities.
I suppose you have a point with the heat. Although it would be annoying that you can't just place it on your table after brewing without getting burn marks on it.
How does /ck/ like Katy Perry's sausage pyramid?
hot dogs =/ sausage

twinkies?
How do you response to a new food?
I fucking try it, especially if I'm in a foreign country and don't want to seem disrespectful by looking down on what they eat.
fucking white people.
>Exposure, plain and simple. Scientists tell us that aversions fade away when we eat moderate doses of the hated foods at moderate intervals, especially if the food is complex and new to us. (Don't try this with allergies, but don't cheat either: few of us have genuine food allergies.) Exposure works by overcoming our innate neophobia, the omnivore's fear of new foods that balances the biological urge to explore for them. Did you know that babies who are breast-fed will later have less trouble with novel foods than those who are given formula?...

Generally positive unless it's some kind of fermented dish that smells horrible.
The Best There Is, the Best There Was, the Best There Ever Will Be
You begin to actually retain memories once you're weened off breast milk.
Are you a toddler who's just discovered eggs poached in chicken broth by any chance?
What is all of this? Poached eggs in chicken broth?
Will this dish reignite my passion for eggs again?
I used to make eggs in every shape and form and eventually I just got sick of all those eggs.
>>7248559
Have you tried seasoning them?
If you split them in fourths when you fry them, you can season each quadrant individually. If you do this enough you'll become a Master of Spices.
i just want to vent. my dad bought a couple of filets of beef, and decided to put them in the freezer directly from the store. WTF. we even have a fucking vacuum saver which i have instructed him on how to use.
also, we have a sous vide machine, and i would like to cook them at like 138F or something but i dunno if it's going to be worth it considering they were frozen so poorly. and i should have a goddamn blowtorch, i did but this bitch stole it from me.
instead of having fresh beef sous vide'd to a perfect temp and blowtorched, we will probably go...

If my dad was still alive I wouldn't care what he did with his beef fillets but I'd definitely give him a massive hug.
>>7248404
Control your autism. He spent his own money on the steaks, he's free to do whatever he wants with them.
When you buy your own steaks, you can do whatever you want with them as well.
>>7248404
Yeah your gay as fuck. You don't deserve a dad. This is the faggiest complain thread I've ever seen. Your pops should beat the shit our of you for being such an ungrateful fuck
Do you make bento /ck/?
>>7248373
No, looks kinda cool but not cool enough I'd go out of my way to do it. Microwave vegetables, cooked cheap beef chops and apple cider vinegar do the trick with my diet
Oh yeah and caesar dressing
I'd love to if I needed to leave the house, yet somehow still had the time to make a nice composed lunch.
I usually just throw a bunch of different little bites together in one container and nibble on this and that with my chopsticks.
>>7248391
>apple cider vinegar
What is this for?
i'm compiling a list of the most BASIC foods to have in your kitchen...
what would you add to this list, /ck/?
>potatoes
>eggs
>rice
>beans
>butter / salt / pepper / olive oil
>lettuce
>noodles
>oatmeal
>>7248341
kek I have like two of those.
>ketchup
>steaks
Can't think of much more.
>onion
>garlic
>milk
Does /ck/ enjoy hearing other people eat food?
I heard it's rude to eat quietly in Japan.

NO. FUCK NO. Oh my god you've actually triggered me. FUCK I AM POSTING ON TUMBLR RIGHT NOW.
Seriously though, I have a friend who is mexican that smacks his lips when he eats, consistently. He will smack his lips during every single chomp. Imagine sitting next to someone and they are smacking their lips every single time they take a bite out of their food. For each mouthful that they take, let's assume they chew for 10 seconds, that's 10 seconds of non-stop lip smacking. He doesn't pause...

I heard that watching people eat is really popular in Korea. It's not always attractive women, either. Asians are fucked up.
>>7248345
It's supposed to trigger you.
Seeing a thread with Jacks tongue led me to search Youtube for more.
It's erotic in a sick way, like watching two 85+ year old men fucking.
Winter break is almost over. I have to move back from my parents' kitchen to my dorm's community kitchen. Rate/Post your kitchens
these pictures are right side up in their original files. I dont know why they are side ways here.
Nice kitchen but how do you cook anything laying on your side?
I butchered my first deer today. It was roadkill, but it was in one piece and it was fresh. What should I do with it?
>>7248252
buy some new jeans grandpa
>>7248252
Toss it because it's roadkill.
>>7248252
Venison steak, stew and jerky.
How about a chicken fried venison steak or venison cordon bleu?
No story here - 2 piece KFC thigh and drumstick.
I like that you had the decency to plate it.
>>7248158
What even does coleslaw? Do you put it on something else or eat it alone? Is it supposed to be like a salad with tons of dressing?
>>7248158
>mixing the colesaw with the mashed potatoes
>eating fucking fries while you already are eating mashed potatoes
This is so fucked up, even for this board standards.
