Hey /ck/. I have a pretty good recipe for sweet potato pie. I can make the pies for very low cost (I even get my sweet potatoes for free from the local farm) and I'm thinking about starting to sell them around the neighborhood in a food cart along with iced earl grey tea. Nothing fancy.
Do you think this is a dumb idea? Any advice or ideas?

stop stealing my potatoes
For real does anyone have any input? I want to sell pies for $5-7 and I'd like to sell at least 7 pies/ day. Cost per pie not counting labor is about $.50, and I found a place I can buy bulk Earl Grey for cheap.
No bully.. These are my starting stats. Just something fun to do on the side.
If you're really interested in this, you'll need a license in order to sell food. I thought about selling homemade baked goods in the past but the process is more complicated than it might look.
Saturday:
Two pieces of Peanut butter toast for breakfast
10 chicken tenders and two glasses of tea for lunch
Bowl of clam chowder for dinner with a side salad with a little bit of French dressing
Meanwhile my brother ate:
Three bowls of oatmeal with sugary fruit for breakfast
Two pounds (!!) of ground beef with a side of salad drenched in raspberry vinaigrette (also high in sugar) and half a gallon of tea for lunch
Four (!!) bowls of chicken broth with celery, carrots, and cabbage for dinner
As you can see, he clearly eats more than I do, yet...

>10 fucking chicken tenders

OP go see a dietition, no one here has anything to say to your cherry picked list, a dietition can help you lose weight if you are having trouble.

Are waffle irons worth it /ck/? I'm thinking of buying one at the grocery store.
In my experience, no. Just make pancakes instead.
But maybe there are some good waffle irons out there, and I just tried a shitty one.

My dad had some antique one. It was literally from the 30s. Thing made amazing waffles. The wire was covered with cloth instead of rubber and the plug was a weird round shape. Picked up a run of the mill grocery store waffle iron and it sucked. I think it's the kind of thing you need to spend decent money on.
I saw one at the thrift store like 8 dollars and didn't get it because I don't know how to make the mix. Thinking about getting it and just giving it back when I get over it. Can you make anything other than waffles in them?
Bar owner here. Need some /ck/onsulting. I have six taps: Miller Lite, Bud Light, Lagunitas Ipa, Stella, Blue Moon, and Sam Adams. Sam Adams is the worst seller by a wide margin and I'm looking to replace it with something that complements the other available drafts.
What would be a good beer to replace the Sam Adams?
Pabst Blue Ribbon.

You should have at least one good beer on that shit
So far you have "Plebs: the Tap" going on.
If you put some kind of good cider there (not redds) you'll start selling more to women and ladybois.
I don't give a fuck how it looks. I don't give a fuck what you think of me because I bought a Happy Meal. Just because you're bound by societal pressures and make your decisions based on the whim of others doesn't mean everyone has to. I'm not weak like you. I'll do what I want. I'm a free man and I carve out my own path in life. If you were to truly dig deep and take a good look at yourself you'd realize that you aren't really in control of your actions.
I get amused by the reactions from people when they see me. Lots of...

I worked at a garage years ago and one of the mechanics would regularly get a happy meal for lunch and throw out the toy. I think it is since they were a light eater and the happy meal is cheaper. I know many years ago they use to put the happy meal on sale during some point of the year. Don't know if they still do that.

>I'm above them all now.
Because you buy children's toys at McDonalds and thinks its brave.
Be honest with yourself. You just want the toy, don't you.
I get fucking enraged by any soup that isn't pureed. The word 'soup' literally comes from the Latin 'Saltanis Oich Unaris Puree' which means 'Food Blended'. SOUP does not have fucking chunks in. Soup with chunks has a name. Stew. Stew. Soup has to be pureed.
I will never eat anything described as a soup with chunks. I do not even dip bread into my soup because if the bread falls into the bowl I am then eating a stew.
Soup is soup. It is pure. When I eat soup I want to be able to slurp the soup. If I try to slurp a chunky soup...

So I'm a poorfag and when I was taking out my trash, I saw my neighbor had put an unopened package from Omaha steaks. I had seen it in the mail room for about a week and I didn't take it because I'm not a dick, but since he was throwing it out I opened it up. I trashed the ground beef because it wasn't vacuum sealed and I'm not retarded, but there were 4 NY strips. They were room temp to the touch.
Opened one up and it smells fine. I'm starving so I cooked it and it tasted fine despite...

Tl;dr What are some cool things to make that can be relatively easily eaten in the car, one-handed?
I transport medical lab samples for work. Basically I drive to clinics and doctor's offices in a ~450 mile radius of my home, pick up sealed vials out of lockboxes and then take them all back to a lab. On the smaller routes I'm driving for about 8-10 hours but I have one I do twice a week where I'm on the road for about 16.
Certainly when I first started, getting to check out all the fast food places I had never been before and the fare of various...

>>7824793
i find it's beneficial to put the corn in a bowl. unless you can get your hand in and out of a can without incident.
How'd I do?
>>7824697
Well, it looks like you put boxed noodles in boiling water. Congratulations, great thread!
>>7824697
Horrible, OP, and you should feel horrible. Did you literally boil kraft dinner and just add cheese mix?
I'd recommend topping it with an inverted Australian rubbish bin.

So I've been playing around with some fish recipes and there are a couple things I want to try. I've wanted to try curing fish, and I want to try making ceviche (raw fish "cooked" by marinating it in citrus). Do I have to go out and buy sushi grade quality fish for this, or is that just more of a marketing gimmick?
>>7824439
I make actual sushi from the fish at my local shoprite. Im actually here to make a thread about that (the sushi) now. Ive never had problems. If it smells good and looks good, try a piece. If you dont get sick, do it again.
>>7824439
For ceviche you want fish that aren't very prone to worms, and where you can easily spot any parasites in the fish and remove them before serving.
>>7824459
I'd assume for fish like salmon and tuna that would be easy to spot, but does that still hold for white fish like sea bass?
If you could only eat at one fast food restaurant for the rest of your life what would it be?
>>7824369
Wendy's.
They seem to have the most variety, and there are no items I dislike.
Burger King
>>7824369
It wouldn't make any difference to me, since I almost never eat fast food.
Liquid milk. Yes or no?
I only drink Organic non-GMO grass fed aerosolized milk you shitlorde.
Only cook with the stuff.

wow. You should really go re-evaluate your life.
