We post delicious burgers.
Burgers only

Do you guys ever wonder if we might have been able to do a bit better with the hamburger? I see pulled pork in that, and instinctively I know it's an excellent idea. But as to the burger's actual construction, I feel like pulled pork would fall out very easily.
I wonder if buns would work better as a pouch.
Paid $13 for this fucker
I was using this handle holder thing to get my cast iron skillet out of the oven and it melted on there. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get this shit off? Feels kinda like dried plastic.

>clean out freezer
>put pan in freezer
>come back tomorrow
>offensive shit pops right off
Don't do it again.
what's wrong with oven gloves and dish cloths?
>>7264072
Why has /ck/ gone to rat shit recently?
Shit posting is rife, full of weaboo animu faggots and it appears Youtube idiots are using it to shill their crappy shows 24/7.
Remember when we used to swap recipes, gave cooking advice and posted OC?
How can this be fixed?

I miss a lot of the posters from a few years back. I miss watching food show feeds all day with fellow cu/ck/s. I miss our cookbook a day advent calendar. I miss people asking a question and getting a dozen serious answers.
I even miss our tripfags.

>Remember when we used to swap recipes, gave cooking advice and posted OC?
Not so much. I've been here five years, and I remember pics of meals from shitty truckstops, quinky sauce, Chipotle shilling, arguments about whether bacon and Sriracha are memefoods and Anons calling anyone who drinks wine or doesn't like Kraft Dinner pretentious.
And endless discussions about fast food.
>Marinade doesn't have an acid
>>7263874
what, if it's for flavor?
(in case of chicken breast)
>>7263876
marinades don't serve their function without an acid you memelord
>>7263874
It's not a marinade then is it, shit lord?
>fuck off Simon.
think ants (or other insects) would be included in our daily diet any time soon?
they're pretty nutritious
I honestly can't wait for a time when genetically modified ants are being farmed like we do other animals

I'm for it. I already feed my chickens soldier fly larva. Well. in season. It's 9 degrees F outside right now, and unless I want to heat the garage 24/7 the flies won't survive.
I've raised mealworms as well. Both are simple and cheap, and the mealworms are pretty tasty fried up with some onions and chilis. I usually just feed them to the chickens, but I was told they weren't bad, so I tried them.
The only thing you really need for the mealworms is 3 covered trays, some oats that work as food and bedding, and a moist vegetable of some type for water. I usually throw in a carrot.
We could get a lot of our protein from our own property if we would embrace the humble bug. That said, I'm not looking to eat that shit every day.

Crickets, grasshoppers, and June bugs are also top tier. I've had june bugs; they are slightly sweet and delicious.
My uncle bought back sonf fried grasshoppers from Ethiopia that were pretty good.
So /ck/how do I cook? I only know how to use a microwave, toaster and boil hot dogs and eggs. How do I learn how to make other foods from home?
>>7263769
Look up recipes and try them?
Toaster is useless.
As for boiling hot dogs and eggs, bring water to a boil, and then literally boil any other food you want that requires boiling, it's the same thing, just not putting eggs or hot dogs in the hot water.
As for your microwave skills, buy frozen foods that require an oven, like pizza. Now there wont be a big flashy "READY IN 2 MINUTE" sign, but on the back it'l tell you the number to leave your oven on, and for how long. Wait that time and remove the food.
Well done you are ready for master chef.
You must first swallow an entire load of your own semen OP.
All the great chefs do this. For one can not truly taste food if one can not taste themselves, and tasting is 75% of the cooking process.

ITT: cabbage soup
I have a head of cabbage, a small can of tomato paste, and a carton of chicken stock.
can I make edible cabbage soup? I'm poor as fuck and also homeless right now but I don't want to waste my cabbage if the soup will be awful.
pic not related. tfw no lardon.
>>7263715
what the fuck happened?
If you like the taste of cabbage, it will be edible. If you have onions and carrots it will be pretty good. Flavor with caraway seeds and it's a great soup.
>>7263728
I asked to borrow 2 carrots and an onion from the people I'm couch-surfing with right now and they were happy to share. that's a good step in the right direction. I also had an apple in my bag so I threw that in there. what the fuck, eh?
>>7263726
shit just happens
I have an awful family and I'm kinda crazy
I'm used to being homeless, it can be fun if you have couches or a shelter to sleep in at night
Which food is the most consistently tasty every time you eat it?
Fries have never tasted bad in one moment of my life
>>7263674
Have you tried them cold?
>>7263677
freegan here, cold fries are great if they're seasoned right. jack in the box curly fries are a good example
>>7263685
I hate eating cold fries, nothing can save them if they aren't prepared properly (i.e. dehydration by freezing->"cold" fry->deep fry)
My secret ramen recipe is cayenne and a small bit of pepperjack cheese
Yours?
>>7263612
Sorry. It's a secret.
>>7263613
could you tell me and then kill me?
>>7263612
Please refrain from using the word ramen in this thread. The term you're looking for to refer to this bowl of sadness is "instant noodles".
Have a nice day

I'm going to order a Dominos pizza any moment now.
You can't stop me.
>>7263566
Get thin and cripsy crust and add chicken to that meat lovers
>>7263566
You'll be disappointed in the end
>>7263566
i hate to say it, but a domino's pizza with bacon and onion is one of the better pizzas if you want something cheap or don't want to cook. i guess because the bacon is so thin and low quality, it actually gets really crispy.
the amount of salt along with the garlic salt on the crust makes me wake up in the middle of the night dehydrated with heart palpitations after eating one though, so i haven't had one for years.
What's /ck/'s policy on switching between dried and canned beans?
Why would it matter?
I think dry beans are cheaper, canned beans are more convenient.
Canned for convenience.
sometimes your doritos just aren't cheesy enough 2bh family, am I right.
>>7263468
That meal would be GOAT if that was a 40 of Mickey's
>>7263471
but I already have had 4
How about at least using Tostitos cheese where cheese is the second ingredient instead of the eighth like in your pic.
Wait a fuckin' minute. Since when did /ck/ hate bacon?
We don't hate bacon, We love it, it 0s just 3 or 4 faggots who keep forcing their "le we hate bacon xD" reddit shit.
>>7263458
I like bacon, but I only eat them on special occasions, like when I'm awake enough in the morning to eat breakfast at a restaurant.
i love bacon. i just hate when people add it to a dish for no reason other than lol add bacon to make it good.
