Carmelizing onions in a pressure cooker was floating around the Web in this article today: http://www.seriouseats.com/2016/01/the-food-lab-pressure-cooker-caramelized-onions-onion-soup.html.
Anyone ever do this? I finally learned how to properly carmelize but it takes so long that the pressure cooker seems like a great idea. I don't eat dairy so I also want to know if you think this would work with olive oil or coconut oil? I don't ever buy vegan butter just because I usually don't go for vegetarian substitutes but if need be I could try that.
What is the worst restaurant experience you ever had and did you give any feedback?
I was served bad, not-fresh sushi few months ago at some shitty oriental hipster sushi bar.
The food was so bad that I proceeded to the bathroom with the menu and made a shit right on the centerfold, folded the menu and handed it over to some old people and told them to enjoy their meal.
I had a bottle of Kraken and it burned and taste of alcohol. Drinking enough of it in one sitting (I rarely drink) eventually left me with less alcohol taste and more sweetness.
I had a bottle of Captain Morgan Cannon Blast and it was deliciously sweet on the first shot, hardly an alcohol taste to note.
There any other alcohol, not just spiced rum, that's delicious, hardly an alcohol taste, but will still fuck me up?
Poast food that isn't food.
I haven't had spam since I was a kid, my grandparents loved cooking with the stuff. Realized just how much sodium was in that shit as I got older and haven't touched it since. A quarter can of spam is more or less your entire day's recommended salt intake. Guess that can be said for the majority of all fast food too, though.
Used to eat stuff like this when I was a child, we were refugees and poor.
Finnish school food pics thread friday edition!
Today we had very good lemonfillet-o-fish and mashed potatoes.
This week was above average school food week! 4/5
It was pretty dry and the dressing is shit so i rate 3/5 max
Why does the rest of the world keep sucking this company's dick?
Because it's... convenient placed in high-traffic areas and people are creatures of habit, I guess? I honestly don't know how they are still opening drive-thru stores. It's overpriced, it takes forever unless you order one of their disgusting drips that have been sitting for hours, it's usually crowded and has all the atmosphere of an airport coffee shop.
The one thing I can say is that the quality of the coffee is dramatically better everywhere else in the world outside the US and Canada.
Is Subway the best fast food joint?
- lowest prices
- healthy food
- tastes great
Why aren't you eating there, /ck/?
You get what you pay for. And some of the sandwiches there are like 9 dollars.
- healthy food
They're like Mcdonalds in how they have to mass produce their shit and add all sorts of chemicals and additives so that the meats don't start smelling like shit after a few hours on display. And don't even get me started with the bread. every time i eat there, I feel my cancer meter rise.
- tastes great
I'll give ya that one, there is awesome variety that many sandwich places don't offer....

DO YOU FAGGOTS EVEN /ironskillet/ HERE?
Since store bought sodas have everything to do with Food, and Cooking. quickly what is your favorite causal drink?
Give me all your secrets to a great homemade pizza. The dough, the sauce, the cheese and toppings...give me all of your secrets.
Also, in pic, if you had to choose between having one or the other, would you choose the girl or the pizza? The pizza lasts until it's digested and the girl lasts one night only.
A good pizza is all about the anchovies.
Everything else is just a matter of preference.
about to open my up a food truck.what should i sell /ck/?
what's the story on this?
Is there a (non-meme) food that is pretty universally liked but you just don't care for? You don't hate it, you just feel apathetic about it and don't understand the hype?
For me it's waffles and baked Mac and Cheese. When eat waffles, all I can think is that I'd rather be eating a stack of pancakes; when I eat Mac and Cheese, all I can think is that it's not comfort food at all- it tastes like cheese and pasta and it's just not that worth it.
Is this a scam?
What's the last thing you cooked, /ck/?
Currently eating these bad boys, pretty gud.
