Ever start cooking something with no real idea where you're going with it?
Pic related. Bacon and green beans and garlic, cooked in olive oil and butter. I added some pasta because why not. I think I ended up creating a side dish instead of a main course though.

>ever start cooking something with no real idea where you're going with it
Not really. I usually spend my free time daydreaming about what I'm going to make for my next meal and putting together a plan in my head, which isn't to say I don't ever change things in the middle of cooking.

You know it's against the rules to say you've reported someone, right? Besides, that shit is disgusting and you should feel bad for being a disgusting person.
Anyone familiar with Matcha green tea powder? Just got pic related from amazon, it's okay but by itself tastes rather bitter. Okay with a bit of peppermint tea, but maybe need a better brand.
I really like the taste of it getting plain matcha tea from the coffee place I frequent, but this didn't quite taste the same.
Any brands that are somewhat economical with decent taste? I see there's a wide rage in prices which comes with most tea territory.
>>7286430
It may be your method rather than the brand. Matcha is not steeped in the manner of other teas. What is the procedure you're following to brew it?

Regular way I read, 1-2 tsp to a cup of water, wisked until frothy from just before boiling water.
What are some of the best uses of beef or chicken broth? I've been cooking my oats in it and wondering what other applications it could have aside from soup.
great to deglaze pans after searing meat or adding to a stirfry if it's cooking too hot. I also like to make stew with beeth broth out of stewing beef or oxtail or both! easy with carrots, potatoes and onions yum yum, don't forget paprika!!

Soups, stews, sauces, chili, deglazing a pan, cooking vegetables, poaching liquid for meats or fish, etc. the uses are countless.
Starting a restaurant, can you think of any other questions I should ask CHEFS?
1. How many employees report to you? How many of those are managers?
2. Who do you report to?
3. What is the volume/revenue your establishment is doing in a year?
4. What is your favorite food to eat?
5. What is your favorite cuisine to cook? Why? (Look for use of ingredients)
6. Give me an example of a Springtime menu you would prepare for me? (Look for use of in-season ingredients)
7. Why did you choose to become a Chef?
8. What do you do...

Hey /ck/ucks, /fit/izen here that has decided to jump from vegetarian to vegan diet, however there is one reason why I refuse to at this moment of time: Soy.
Everywhere I read up on this bean there are multiple studies, case studies and personal accounts linking soy intake to increased levels of estrogen which for obvious reasons is undesirable for a man.
The question
>Am I safe from the negative effects of soy so long I don't take in too much? Say like 2-3 times a week put into my diet?
>Is there...
