Is Nashville "Hot Chicken" becoming a meme?
It's seems as if a lot of gastro pubs and bar/grills are adding it to their menus.
Is it wholly different than a spicy chicken/buffalo sandwich?
seriously just shut the fuck up with your stupid meme bullshit already. You either eat it or you fucking don't. Who gives a shit. According to you types, any food that has ever made it big is a meme. ZOMG A GUY INVENTED SOMETHING CALLED BUFFALO WINGS AND GOT RICH. PEOPLE COPIED HIM ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY. MUST BE A MEME. OMG PEOPLE LIKE SOUP. LET US ALL SELL SOUP. SOUP IS A MEME. Restaurants sell what sells well and they have done that since the beginning of time.
I have some precooked bratwurst, and just a stove+frying pan. What's the best way to cook these?
Also, since they're precooked, there is no danger of undercooking them right? I could just bite into them cold?
>What's the best way to cook these?
I'd brown them in the pan, then add a bit of water and cover to let them steam for a few minutes. Or you could just simmer them in water or even some beer for 5-10 minutes. Or dump some sauerkraut in a pot, put them on top and simmer that until it's all heated through.
And no, if they're pre-cooked you should be able to just eat it cold from the package. Just heat it through and it'll be fine.
What is your favorite breakfast dish? Mine is pic related, quick and easy.
What makes you feel good when it snows, /ck/?
I made some cheese&broccoli soup in a bread bowl.
getting really drunk and running in it when it snows enough that I have a day off. then making my friends drive me somewhere for lunch while I hang out the window of the car screaming happy snow day to everyone on the street.
then I get a nice burger and a beer. I love snow. also sometimes I ski and play hockey.

What are the best low calorie, low preparation foods? I'm going on a diet in a few weeks, but I don't have a lot of time at home due to work. I don't really eat lunch or breakfast, so I don't have a ton of meals to cover for, but I'm looking to eat under 1100 calories for a while while I grind it out with exercise. I did this last year over a month, and lost 25 lbs, but I got burned out on eating fish from Rubio's and vegetables in hot sauce.
Suggestions? Fast food items are acceptable. I'll eat just about anything, I'm not picky.
What makes people think this is a good idea? Like "ok I'm a lazy fuck with no cooking skills, instead of actually doing a few minutes of googling and reading based on my own tastes and skill set, I'm going to post on 4chan, wait an hour or two for the replies to roll in, and pick a random text-based response that looks reasonable"
How do people like this function?
What should I season a prime cut Rib eye with? I am used to buying choice meat and adding a steak seasoning but I'd like a good minimal seasoning idea so I can enjoy this prime cut.
what is /ck/'s favourite b&j ice cream?
also what do you guys think about cake batter and salted caramel core
categories of food that is worth spending restaurant dollars on (the full list):
that is all.
what really grinds my gears is people who order "pasta" - JEESUS fucking christ, you are spending top dollar for a restaurant, get something you can't make for 10 cents at home!
Why does eggplant make me nauseous? Sometimes I can stomach it in a sandwich and I can eat babaganoush no problem, but sometimes I feel like gagging when I eat eggplant parmigiana. Maybe it's just the kind I've had but it's usually drenched in sauce making it fall apart. The consistency is just this weird soggy slimy mush and seeing the seeds makes it even more gross.
It's probably just me but is there a way I can get over the aversion to not gag whenever I eat it?
I can eat avocado, mushrooms, zucchini no problem but there's just something...

How do I hide the smell of alcohol on my breath?
Moved in with my parents after living abroad for a few years. I'm saving for a downpayment so I don't have to pay schlomo rent so it will only be about a year, but I drink a lot in the basement and need to hide the smell on my breath. My parents drink and know I do but I don't think they'd be too happy know I drink alone in my room almost every evening. Not that they'd throw me out or be mad, it would just contribute to their feeling that I am a pathetic loser. Which I kind of am, but I don't...
