I pity your lack of Fazoli's.

Dead easy:
Fry off 500g of mincebeef in a little oil
Add 1 chopped onion
Season with salt and pepper
When onions have seated down add about 300g of passata (that's what it's called in England anyway, it's like Tomato puree (paste) but thinner) . . .alternatively add i tin chopped tomato, a tablespoon of Puree and about half a teaspoon of sugar.
Next sprinkle in some garlic powder (always good for students and tightwads)
A bit of dried Oregano
A bit of dried Basil
Do you spaghetti in the normal way but after draining, I like to add a knob of butter and stir it around, coating the spaghetti.
Even easier, buy a jar of cheap Bolognese sauce and add the above herbs and garlic powder.
Come spag on my bol bb
I need to prepare an international menu with a couple of friends. We got assigned Asia and Oceania. Asia has shit desserts to be quite fucking honest with my familia, so this leaves Australia as the best option I suppose.
Hit me up with your best Aussie receipts for desserts.
lamingtons are fantastic
pavlova is good too but its actually from new zealand
>australian cuisine
We don't have much in the way of aus-specific foods.
Lamingtons are about the only "dessert" that comes to mind.
>>7291146
Haha. You're not going to find anything of great interest.
There's some overlap with New Zealand, but check out neenish tarts, pavlovas, lamingtons, Iced Vovos, chocolate crackles, and fairy bread. Very unsophisticated stuff.
There is a squash setting on my kitchen table for a week now. What should I do with it? Other than soup or pie.
>>7291142
Humita. It's squash, corn, basil, olives and mozzarella. Make a tart or "empanadas"
>>7291142
Bake it. I don't know why you'd do anything else with it if you're not making soup.
>>7291166
Why do you guys wrap your food in stuff you can't eat?
https://www.yahoo.com/food/mcdonalds-japan-finally-debuts-chocolate-covered-172209924.html
>It’s been a while since someone released a truly gonzo, headline-worthy stunt food. Thankfully, here comes McDonald’s Japan, the same brain trust that pioneered such groundbreaking culinary innovations as the avocado McMuffin and food filled with human teeth. Today, the world learns that the company will release its latest “French fry innovation” in the form of McChoco Potatoes on January 26.

Anyone know any good ideas for non-sweet duck glazes? All of them I can find in my books and the internet seem to be either honey or orange based.

I know of none, but here you go. Continue omitting fruits from the search query until they stop showing up on the first page. I got tired of it at this point.

What are some cozy meals I can just toss in the oven? You know, stuff like Shepherd's Pie that doesn't require a lot of attention when I need to get other shit done.

Anyone have any good recipes for a good dish that can be made with steak and noodles?
Pretty much have only made dressed up ramen with steak n' medium-boiled eggs with green onions, but I'm looking to kick it up.
>>7290945
Assuming the steak isn't a great cut of meat I'd recommend a stir fry of some kind. Leave out whatever you don't have or don't like.

Dragon Noodle!
If you can get past the bloggy shit of this link, the recipe at the bottom is actually good

looks good (other than the cilantro), kind of like a chink carbonara
Bud Light Lime is IMO best beer. What's yours?
Op probably likes Jack unironically...

Bud Light Lime is literally the worst beer. At least normal Bud Light is well-balanced, if flavorless. The lime just gets rid of the only redeeming quality it had.

If it's good enough for the Biz Cliz it's good enough for me. Too sweet me good brother.
I made a PB&J Tuesday to bring to work but I forgot it. I worked from home today because of the snow, so I'm thinking about bringing it to work for lunch tomorrow.
Will it still be good to eat tomorrow? It's been in the fridge and the bread isn't old enough to mold (the rest of the loaf is unrefrigerated and still good). I don't want to get to work and it turns out to be gross and I have to eat a vending machine granola bar for lunch (we have subsidized vending machines so everything is 50 cents).

Just bite the fucking $0.07 and make a new one.
Bread goes stale in the fridge. It will be edible, but unpleasant.

Who else here sardines?
Lately, I've been smashing them gently and mixing a bit of mayo and stone ground mustard, maybe a little onion then eating with crackers. What else can I do with these beauties?
Should I eat?
no you fat fuck
stop eating and just live off your own fat for a few weeks
>>7290728

Corn or flour? I'd like a recipe either way.
>>7290668

sometimes chicken thigh can look similar to the uncooked color even when fully cooked, so it might've been fully cooked. i got food poisoning from fully cooked pork. i bought pork and froze most of it, got sick after eating the first batch. didn't know what made me sick and after defrosting some more a few days later, it tasted sour.
1. Could be poor-quality chicken.
2. How do you know it was the chicken?
>>7290611
I'm lactose intolerant. I make myself shit the alphabet every single day.
What are some easy, homemade soups I can make if I don't own a mixer? just chop ingredients, throw them into a casserole and let it simmer for 10-30 minutes?
>>7290600
You need more then 10-30 minutes usually to develop flavor... This is good with an unblended base...
>>7290600
That's more or less the normal way people make soups. I don't know why people get all crazy about blending everything up into a mush. But yeah, it takes time.
Use a good stock, from the store or even better, one you make yourself. It makes a big difference. But as long as you season it well, it should be fine. Start out with chicken and then move your way to beef. Making beef stock is a little more tricky than chicken because the marrow leaves a bitter taste if you overcook it too much so you'll...

I'm just wondering why the fuck you would think you need a mixer to make soup?
