What's the deal with people hating on school lunches? I remember being a poor student back in 2005 and loving the fuck out of my stale, oven-baked potatoes and hormone-laced chocolate milk.
School lunches were never disappointment. My parents fed me shitty food, so lunch at school was always my most nutritious meal of the day, and my body grew to eagerly anticipate that lunch bell.
While everybody wasted their lunch time talking and socializing, I made sure to scarf down every last delicious morsel like the autistic introvert I was. It didn't matter...

I always hated the soy burgers but everything else was pretty good.

because school lunches, at least in america, are shit
>cheapest possible sources
>food tastes like cardboard
>no salt in anything
and I know the whole 'make the kids healthier' shit is their reason, but why would they gain from only eating flavored cardboard if what they eat at home is loaded with unhealthy shit
>tfw you get a '''''''''burger'''''''''...

Soup in a bowl of bread is the neatest thing but I've never had one before. What soups do you usually have?
>>7836982
I prefer cheesy soups like beer cheese or broccoli and cheese.
>>7836982
Broccoli cheddar, tomato basil, cheese bisque, French onion, any chowder really
How many times a day do you eat?
Standard of course is three, but they say 6 small meals throughout the day is better, and I've also read that just 1 meal a day is better.
I tend to just eat lunch and dinner, though sometimes I'll have breakfast instead of lunch
>>7836856
>they say 6 small meals throughout the day is better
nope
>>7836856
Three or four.
>no breakfast
>small late morning snack
>lunch
>small late afternoon snack
>dinner
like 2x
would you try it?
Yeah I love trying new food.
How does this enhance the flavor?
Or is the purpose just to have a nigger-burger selfie on snapchat or instagram or other shitty social media photo?
Japanese or American?
Ask someone who hasn't touched bread in a week and isn't planning on touching it ever again (unless I get the chance to eat some fancy ass sandwich or some shit) anything
How many bites did you get in before you realized it was horribly moldy?
>>7836839
a little bit of mold never killed anyone.
a lot of mold, maybe.

OP found out about the ketogenic lifestyle. Bless you, OP. Carbs truly are the devils doing. You're making a very good decision excluding them from your diet
Let's talk steak?
I like to take a ribeye to hard sear it in a cast iron skillet with some butter, rosemary, shallots, and garlic, then pop it in the oven to finish it out to a nice medium-rare.
How do you do yours /ck/? What kind of pan do you use? Or do you forgo pans entirely and just slap in on the grill? What's your favorite cut?
>>7836770
It wasn't meant to be a question.
Let's talk steak!
Picked up this ribeye today. Gonna sous vide it for an hour at 123 degrees tomorrow night. Sear in ripping hot cast iron afterwards.

Looks like a well-marbled steak anon

Hi I'm Francis, the host if this show, Cooking witha Dogu

They're not looking very good...
So I'm about to move into a TEENY TINY studio, about 12x14, which includes a tiny "kitchenette" - basically some cabinets and a sink.
I'm thinking of getting an induction cooktop and a small toaster oven (and of course a microwave). Do you guys have any recommendations as to what I should get/what else I should get?
>>7836341
Why would you need a microwave if you have a toaster oven.
Consider picking up a small island for more counter space, but if your space is genuinely, 12x14, I don't know if you'll have room for it?
Where the shit do you live that that's actually an acceptable place to live?
>>7836341
I've been living like that for the past 3 1/2 years
get a rice cooker first and foremost, you can put that thing anywhere in your studio and not worry about it
also get a cutting board that you can put on the sink so you have some more space to work with when cooking
it's gonna be a bitch but if you don't mind doing all the prepping before the cooking it's definitely doable, just not as enjoyable as a full-fledged kitchen
Greetings from /tv/
How would you rate this cheese sandwich?
Is this going to be the new forced meme to replace 'go 'za?
>>7836281
Great, another meme.
It might be slightly too much cheese for my taste, but I like where he's going with it.
How do they do it /ck/? How does somebody (especially Matt Stonie) manage to eat 182 rashers of bacon in 5 minutes, or 82 slices of pumpkin pie? What is their secret?
>>7836271
Weed. Lots.
Watching his videos it feels like it's almost a prerequisite to not be able to feel full, and only from there you begin starting to train to not only eat a lot but eat a lot fast.
They store their bodily waste in another dimension until one glorious day, they release all the fury of 182 rashers and 82 slices of pumpkin pie unto our world all at once.
Hey /ck/ I just made a cheesecake and have about 1.5 cups of graham cracker crumbs left. What should I make with them? (Not going to make another cheesecake for a while.)
Less the sugar, the following is something I do with breadcrumbs and I don't see why it wouldn't work with graham cracker crumbs.
Mix sugar and melted butter into the cracker crumbs.
Whip egg white to stiff peaks and fold the crumbs into them.
Press crumb mixture into a single layer and bake in the oven until crunchy.
Enjoy graham cracker crackers.
