How do i master the traditional fried rice with chicken and vegetables that you can get at any thai restaurant? Which soy sauce do i have to use? How do i achieve the perfect tender chicken? Show me what you got!
You need that wok hei, bruh. Same as Chinese rice.
It's not something you can do at home without some dangerous modifications to your stove.
Pretty much this. Making restaurant-quality fried rice requires some serious heat; much more than you'd get from a home stove.
>>traditional fried rice
That's not traditional at all. It's the Thai restaurant copying a Chinese dish. It's still delicious though.
>>Which soy sauce
A Thai brand obviously; it tastes different from the Japanese and Chinese versions. Also fish sauce, that's in just about every Thai...

That'll be tough without one of those gas fueled jet fired burners that are used in Chinese and Thai restaurants. They have foot pedals to control the gas flow while leaving their hands free to mix stuff up in the woks.
roast potatoes + my first attempt at hollandaise
the sauce was perfect in the pan but by the time i plated the potatoes and then poured the sauce onto the plate it was thin and had separated
they are much better with a rich beef gravy, and roasted in goose fat.
im having pic related tonight at a carvery with some friends
I have a bunch of different super hot peppers including ghost (bhut-jolokia), Trinidad dooglah, chocolate habanero, lemon drop, and several wild bird peppers. My friend makes sauce with them and I have jars and jars of that stuff. What should I do with these peppers? Suggestions? Thanks.

Depression is a doozy.
>this is what /fit/ considers good food
How can men spend days eating nothing but bland chicken, rice, and mixed vegetables? How can a man live like that?
They're working towards an objective, they don't look at it as food but as fuel. It's not exactly balanced but or appealing but it's much better than stuffing your face with McDonalds.
What are some good ultra-cheap foods and foods you can't believe are so cheap?
Mackerel is the big one for me, it's less than £5/kg here which makes it cheaper than beef and pork and close to chicken when it's on sale.
What's best for stewing: puppies, kittens, rabbits, ...?
i just went to 5 stores looking for half litre mason jars
2 only had litres , ok fair enough
2 didn't have them and the employees didn't know what they were and tried to sell me various other non mason jar things

i'm so mad right now
Why didn't he keep a few of the most popular items on the menu and also offer a handful of new items like any real restaurant would do?
Personal favorite Pixar movie, legitimately good movie about cuisine.
Why do blacks have the best food? Fried chicken, lemonade, all that good stuff you eat in Popeyes Chicken.
Burgers you can't even fit in your mouth
what's the point
- Easy to cook
- Has actual taste, unlike pasta and rice
- Can go with anything (absorbs taste from things it accompanies)
What /couscous/ things have you done today?
Me, I did the "Subhuman NEET Couscous" today:
1. Boil water
2. Add couscous to water
>unlike pasta and rice
couscous is pasta
>Add couscous to water
That's instant couscous. It has the advantage of being easy and fast to make, but I'd rather have rice. Making real couscous is a pain in the ass, but the result is much better. It helps to have a bunch of women in the kitchen with nothing else to do for half a day if that's what you want.
Literally apehoop: the hot dog stand
This is better
So is this
I got oatmeal, buffalo sauce, seasonings, pancake mix, bread, mild salsa, guac, lettuce, tomatos, brussel sprouts, various fruit, various cheeses, various ham, eggs, and oil.
I would make pic related but no tuna or sardines. Please help, I don't wanna kill myself.
