I ate a whole beetroot last night. Nothing spicy.
When I took a shit this morning, it felt hot, as if I had been eating whole chillies instead.
What gives? Does the red pigment make my anus sensitive or something?
Also interesting thought, if pee becomes pink from beets, this means the Pigment also stains the blood. And because our organs are pumped with blood, our organs must look pink after eating lots of beets.
>>7354602
Wat.
Your organs look pink already you dunce your blood is red from the start.
>>7354602
If you ate it raw, it could be oxalates. Sometimes raw beets or chard burn my mouth a little because of their naturally occurring oxalates
>>7354602
also, I've never pissed pink from beets. You must have a kidney problem

Clean as you cook and I LOVE cleaning the fridge out. My kitchen is probably the cleanest part of the house.
So no thanks to Chase Fraud dept, I just scored a bunch of tin lined copper cookware for cheap. But I have only ever used stainless lined copper and I'm a little out of my element here.
Rather than googling the answer like normal people, I'm gonna ask /ck/. Then later after you guys get done calling each other names, if I still don't know what I'm doing I may or may not actually google the answer.
Tin lined copper, WAT DO, allow me to word this in the form of a challenge, do everything for me go!
p.s. in keeping with this style of thread,...

I forgot to make my question actually make sense: is there stuff I shouldn't cook in this? I'm assuming steak is probably a bad idea but what about other stuff? Acids ok?
Am I allowed to use a green scouring pad? What about barkeepers friend? Does it scratch easily? Is scratching bad or ok? Should I only use wooden utensils?
>>7354482
Hahaha epic thread friend!
Needless to say, I googled it. Yet another reminder that /ck/ only knows about fast food and apparently "potato logs" whatever the fuck that is (sounds flyover as fuck)
What are some good recipes for fried chicken? I bought a whole bunch of chicken but I'm not sure on how to make it.

Man crazy bread is great but let's dispel this fiction once and for all that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He knows exactly what he's doing; he's undergoing a systematic effort to change this country and make America more like the rest of the world. If I'm elected we'll embrace what makes America the greatest country in the world.

PIZZA PIZZA
so i used to much garlic. while making my tomato sauce. what is a good way to tone that down
>>7354292
use less lol
not be a faggot, for one
it is literally impossible to use too much garlic
So I got this thing 2nd hand. Leaked everywhere the first few times I used it, think it needs new seals
>>7354241
Yeah, you need new gaskets. You can order them on amazon, just make sure you order the right size.
Also, don't pack the coffee down, that can also cause leakage.
Anyone else here watch the great British bake-off? I tried posting this on /tv/ but got no responses, so I thought I would have better luck here.
It's comfy as hell.
I get a kick out of the working class guys kicking ass on fancy cakes.
Nicest cooking competition show around. I like the specials they do at the end of the season with the judges showing you how they'd do each challenge, the bants are top notch.
>trim the zest off these lemons

Getting ready to make beef stew but discovered I'm out of beef stock. My options are either chicken stock or water. What does /ck/ suggest?
>>7354137
why would you use water in cooking for any reason other than boiling noodles?
>>7354137
Well, first off, does the beef you're using have any bones in it? Because if it does, you can use the bones to make a quick beef stock.
If not, use chicken stock. Water will leave it too flavorless.
The stock obviously. Got any booze on hand?
Who bakes here?
Baking > cooking. Sadly it's bad for you if you don't have people to eat all the added sugar. I try giving them to my friends but i don't know why they don't aceppet it. Once I made extra candy bars to give as gift for my friends. Offered to 6 people and all of them rejected without even tasting.
>>7354060
You probably don't make things that taste good.
>>7353838
Sooo, instead of a lamb cake, they made a pink cat cake?
How would you make a breakfast pizza?
Pic related. I did egg, bacon, and Brussels sprouts.

Made this with my roommates a few years ago.
Gravy for sauce, scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, and sausage bits.
Hello /ck/. This week we'll be doing some yellow split pea dhal.
Couple of reasons, first being that we've been getting snow and icing rain and I haven't bothered going grocery shopping. So a recipe where I have everything in my pantry is perfect.
Second is that we've been getting an uptick of people asking for cheap recipes and this is probably as cheap as they come.
Ingredients
250g yellow split pea
4 cups water
2 slices of ginger (can leave peel on)
1 stick cinnamon
3/4 tsp turmeric
1 1/2 dried yunan pepper
1tbsp oil
1 small onion chopped
2-3 cloves garlic finely chopped
2cm ginger grated
1 pint diced tomatoes
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp cumin seed
3/4 tsp garam masala
salt
Juice 1/2 lemon
>>7353812
1. In a large pot, combine the water, slices of ginger, cinnamon and turmeric.
>>7353820
2. Bring to a boil to dissolve the turmeric.
Just be careful not to splash any on you from this point on, turmeric stains everything a bright yellow.
anyone here eat ramen noodles? your supposed to make it a soup right? do you grab the noddles with chopsticks and then drink the liquid after? thanks
crumble the noodle block into a thousand pieces.
eat bits of noodle and broth with spoon.
>boil noodles with a couple eggs
>drain
>season
>eat
>eat noodles dry
>throw rest out
>vacuum your vicinity

Tell someone who cares. We, here at /ck/, care about our bodies and won't eat this sort of crap. Too many calories!
Why don't shrimp farmers just feed the shrimp cocktail sauce like a couple of days before harvesting them so we don't have to dip them when we eat them?
I don't think they really care about the shrimp eaters of the world.
>>7353760
Man I love shrimp
damn that is a really good idea broseph
Great idea OP, better patent that before someone else does.
Reminds me a recipe I have:
>Piggy Pizza
>Take a pizza-fed pig and stuff it with pizza and then cook it in a pizza oven.
