Show me a better microwavable meal than this.
Shits fucking delicious.

I have vague memories of going to our local grocery store with my mother when I was very little and staring through the glass in the frozen food section at a blue box with cartoons on it.
I never got one but it was one of my childhood 'wants' that was just out of reach. So sad.
That shit is like the lowest of the low.
But for some reason, I have always wanted to try one.

Who actually works in the food service industry here?
I worked dish for a couple years, then I did prep for about 6 months until I became a garde manger after our the one we had left. Hoping to move up to hot side within a year.
Tfw owners wife's son gets hired and given hotside.

I did eight years in the airborne infantry and a few years in ranger units.
Afterward, I did contract security and became a paramedic to be further marketable.
My interest in food came not from profession but from interest and joy. I love harvesting my own food and creating delicious dinners for my family and friends.

I know this isn't related to the thread, but did you do any tours of duty? Were you a POG? What was your MOS?
Is it really THAT good for you, or is it just a meemee?
>>7366338
Why not look up its nutritional content and decide for yourself? The numbers ought to make the answer pretty damn obvious.
>>7366341
because i'm a millennial and want everything handed to me
Just eat spinach
anyone else feel sick after eating this? ive had it twice and both times I felt sick to my stomach after.
Not really. Maybe it's you?
stop eating that garbage
You should feel sick because it's basically just flour coated in edible wax. If you're going to eat instant ramen, at least go to an Asian Grocery store to buy higher quality kind.
Is there any nutritional value to a bagel with cream cheese? It's the carbiest bread combined with the fattiest, lowest protein, cheese
a bagel with some bran in the flour is healthy. but only put low fat or non fat cream cheese on it.
>>7362720
>low fat/nonfat cream cheese
heathen
it's delicious
What do you unironically order at a bar?

A long island iced tea. I think it's got the most alcohol, and I'm not paying all that money to not even get a buzz.

A shot and a beer, faggot.
Why are beans in chili such a contentious issue?
>>7358812
because some people mistake having a very strong opinion with having strong knowledge pertaining to that subject
It's just a dumb meme.
95% of America makes chili with beans, and all the people who claim it's wrong obviously aren't from the other 5%; most of them aren't even American.
>>7358825
It's a Spanish dish anyway.
People are I'll informed.
What do you think of this pizza, /ck/?
>>7355485

Why no desert thread?
It's OK I'll just start one then.
Peanut butter/marshmallow topping on brownies, all I'm missing is the graham crackers.
Sounds good, I like deserts.

I don't have time to make another dish.
Hi guys! I want to do a juice fast for the following week (5 days only), however, I'm not sure what ingrediens I should get.. Currently I have the following in stock;
500g lemon
1,5kg apples
~500g beetroots
1kg oranges
500g ginger
+ 4,5L store bought juice (the expensive, real deal. Not from concentrate, but pure fruits'n'vegs (I want to drink these in the morning; it's 5 bottles).
So, yea. I guess I'll need a lot of veggies? I'm 190cm and around 95kg btw, so I consume a bit.
>>7369494
What are you trying to accomplish? Juice fasts or diets aren't necessarily better than any other diet. It's just a convenient way to get your calories in. Might as well try soylent in that case.
Add in a lot of vegetables. People like kale, carrots and parsnips and things like that. Going on pure sugar isn't going to help you too much so you should add more starchy roots.
>>7369498
Just a cleansing desu m8.
Stuff on my buying-list would currently be; cucumber, carrots, kale and cellery. Is other types of kale than green good-tasting when juiced? White and red are cheap here.
I just got off a 2 week juice fast a week or so. If I was to say to buy something a lot of it's cucumbers because they give a lot of juice as well as celery.
What I usually had was a carrot and orange juice in the morning and then make two batches of that and save one for later and make a celery, cucumber, kale, lemon, ginger one for dinner. Should always follow the 20% fruits 80% vegetables rule unless you're not going for weight loss I guess.
I liked having juice with beets in it. Should check out reboot with joe for lots of good recipes I liked their butternut squash one and using sweet potatoes for your orange coloured juice has some tasty results, makes it a little thicker.
>Store-bought wings have to cook at 450 for 30 mins
>Putting them in at 420 because that's the max for my parchment paper
How long should I cook these for if i'm putting them in at lower heat. 40 mins?
until they're done

/thread
>>7369481
Your parchment paper will be fine at 450, anon.
It just gets a little bit brown at that temp.
Hey /ck/, it's my birthday today and I want to cook something great.
I want to make something sweet and something hearty and I really feel like deep-frying today.
Please inspire me.
Also, post your favorite deep-fried food.
>>7368519
Deep fried cock in ass is #1.
Homemade tendies and fish nuggers are a close second.

Was kinda hoping this board wasn't /b/ tier. How wrong I was.
Banana fritters bump.
What does /ck/ think of Lychee?
I pick some up fresh every now and again, just bought some today. They remind of soap, I love them so much.
Does anyone know of any cool recipes for them besides eatin em raw?
>>7367135
so fucking good
I got a bunch of seedless lychees once and it was fucking end game
>>7367543
They have such a nice, feminine perfume smell to them, its oddly enticing.
They taste like a bar of fancy Soap, which again, oddly enticing. I love these little faggots. Theyre supposedly good for reducing Tumor growth.
They've been on sale here for the last week or so, presumably in season just now
I've been eating them on the way to the gym every day and throughout the day, they're like swallowing eyeballs but really fucking refreshing and tasty.
Also packed with Vitamin C and B6's etc
Protip: Tea made from lychee peelings is said to cure smallpox and diarrhea. In India, the seeds are ground to make tea for stomach trouble. Parts of the bark, root, and lychee flowers are gargled for sore throat.
What's your favorite sandwich?
I love croque monsieur. :3
>>7365911
Or rather croque madame in this case.
r e u b e n
I like Croaks too Mister
