Did you fall for the prawn cracker meme?
Food noob here who want to improve my shitty cooking skills.
What are some easy, tasty and the most important, CHEAP meals i can try? I really like spicy food and need some tips on what kind of spices i can mix.
Make stews that use cheap meats and soups. They only require basic cutting skills and a big pot.
Gumbo is expensive to get all the ingredients if you have none but once you have them you can make a pot last an entire week for 1 person as long as you are willing to make rice.
Pasta Fagioli is a soup that is really cheap. Pasta, beans, chicken broth, carrots, tomatoes, celery, onion, and like 3 strips of bacon.
I'm planning on trying to do a Chinese style hot pot at home for some friends from my class. I'm looking for some essentials and useful techniques. This hot pot meal is to impress my student council president btw. Please help me.

>"Yes, but how would you like your pizza, sir?"
Alright sandwich senpai what do you make your pb&j sandwiches with? What kind of bread? Creamy or crunchy peanut butter? Jam or jelly?
All of the fucking buzzfeed bullshit articles on upgrading pb&j sandwiches talk about different methods or preparation like grilling or turning them into god damn sushi rolls. But what ingredients can I ADD to make my pb&j truly next level?
Sandwich appreciation thread.
what do you irrationally hate? I hate packaged sandwich meat. I almost puke at the thought of eating it. is it fine?
I'd hate to make yet another pizza thread but can /ck/ help troubleshoot what went wrong with my pizza crust? It turned out real sticky and kinda salty. I thought salt wicks out moisture? Anyway, heres the recipe
3/4 cups (6 ounces) lukewarm water
1 teaspoon active-dry or instant yeast
2 cups (10 ounces) unbleached all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
I diluted the yeast in the warm water and mixed it with my dry ingredients. I let it rise for about 30 hrs but I never put it in the fridge because it's winter...

if you pour salt into water, the water is still there.
Salt draws moisture out of something if their is a water potential difference but that's not the case inside an isolated dough.
This is probably the worst thing I've ever eaten. I'm holding back the vomit and tears. Rate my dinner /ck/
Today on Sperg's Table we have:
Does /ck/ consider gouda cheese to be really good or "meme food" level?
Have you ever considered killing yourself? Like, instead of slicing cheese or a tomato, you would slice your wrists, or instead of putting carrots in a blender, you would put in your microencephalitic head. I've considered that. I think the world would be a better place if OP just died.
I'm looking to buy my first knife.
What should I be looking for?
I'm not trying to break the bank, I'm on a college budget.
