Why don't you own a food processor as based as pic related?
I have it. It does wonders.
It cooks the a great classic Ragù in just 30 minutes instead of the 2 hours classic Italian recipe.
Every risotto I cook is delicious just like the Italian tradition.
For every Italian food lover I suggest to buy it.
Who on /ck/ uses Asian pears? Any way to actually cook them or do you eat'em like an apple?
Pic related: this one is a ’product of Korea’ but I'm not sure if N or S. Since they're not being specific I figured it might as well just read 'this is a product'...thoughts?
Ive eaten them raw and I believe I've eaten them as part of a soup. Iirc
>sliced asian pears
(They are a starched based fruits, so you may want bigger chunks)
>salt and pepper
>fish sauce to taste
Boil until pears soften and chicken is thoroughly cooked. Serve with rice (preferably Jasmine...

Is this one of the best foods ever or what? Also where does it originate from? I'm from Wisconsin and I like it and people seem to like it here. Is it from Germany or something? Our foods/drink are inspired from German foods a lot I think.
What's your favorite cheese to have on this?
Tuna Salad, Potato, Salad, Macaroni salad, Jell-O Salad....etc
Which is your favorite and why?
I have a soft spot for Hawaiian macaroni salad, even though it's basically just an excuse to shovel down seasoned mayo with some carbs mixed in.
Amerifat here. Can I pick pasta salad?
Captcha: select all salad
Got these in the local supermarket. what can I expect in terms of flavor?
hey /ck/ give me a variety of good pizza crust recipes. Im looking for a few very crispy, thin crust recipes as well as some deep dish pan pizza recipes. list your favorites
>buy/cook flour tortillas
>add favorite pizza ingredients
>enjoy the thinnest crust
>realize it isn't a real pizza
Let's do this shit.....
Ran out of celery, so I'm using carrot, bell peppers, red onion, 1 habanero, 2 cloves garlic.
Spices: salt, pepper, oregano, rosemary, basil.
On the stove....
Like a fat bitch on a subway car in August....sweating.
>11 dollar pizza!
ends up being 18 dollars
What should I do with plantains? The reduced produce section of my supermarket always has them, so I got about ten of them for a dollar. The ones I bought this time are still green, just with some blemishes.
I've tried boiling them just like potatoes and while that's okay, it's not my favorite. I'd prefer not to deep fat fry them. I imagine I'll have them for a while, so any ideas of what I could do with fully ripe plantains would be appreciated, as well.
slice them into chips and fry them up in some olive oil. season with salt, or if you have lawry's seasoned salt, even better.
That's the "salty" style which I prefer over letting them ripen and having sweet fried bananas.
Get to it, faggot. Times a wastin.
I slice them into chips and let them soak in lemon, salt and dried thinly sliced chili, then I deep fry them. Turns out pretty good OP, I also boil them, smash them with bread crumbs, make small popcorn balls and fry them
i don't know if this is the right place to ask but i think /ck/ would be the best
i'm going to my friend's party tomorrow and probably gonna get my first taste of alcoholic drink (not sure which one it is, i was a total beta and didn't have any experience with them)
what should i expect? how was your first alcoholic drink experience?
alcoholic drinks dont really taste good. the reason people mix vodka with juice is because vodka tastes like shit.
whiskey also tastes like shit. beer tastes like shit.
wine tastes like shit.
alcohol tastes like shit
> use day old rice to make fried rice
Fuck that. You buy brown rice from the Chinese takeout place and use that.
I figured this out yesterday and thought I'd share since I've always had trouble with it sticking using day old rice.
I'll be playing some DnD later tonite and need some ideas for tasty, healthy snack ideas. Whenever I leave it up to my fat friends we end up with and array of junk food that makes me feel like shit.
Mexican here, i travelled to USA and tried this, sadly they aren't available in my country.
ITT: Post Fast Food restaurant that you wish were available in your country.
How's your diet going?
Do you have any interesting or creative methods of dealing with intense cravings?
If I get a massive craving for let's say a big ham sandwich or scrambled eggs and bacon I sometimes just make the meal, than feed it to my family. Ironically, the process or ritual of preparing the food helps to get my mind off it - and my family's starting to wonder why I'm so nice to them lately.
Anyways, I feel like this isn't really a common thing but I'm sure some people here do it...
Pretty hard. I get full really easily and so I've been trying to do the whole smaller size more meals thing but I get full and can't eat much at the smaller meals.
I've gotten Ensure to add liquid calories and make sure to eat ice cream for dessert
